Expert Analysis

Hester is a big, long, and athletic man who has true next-level ability. He is a player who plays above the rim. He has a great leaping ability and a great second jump as well. He is present in the paint and around both rims on both ends of the floor. He is a great defender and ready to send shots the other direction. On offense, he is a real lob threat and a second-chance points merchant.

One of the biggest risers in the month of June at different team camp events, Hester has taken massive strides in the past few months. Showing confidence to shoot post hooks with his back to the basket, use his size to score over smaller defenders and alter shots at the rim, Hester looks like a more confident player on both ends of the court with how he moves his body and asserts himself in the paint. Making the move to Toledo St Francis, the Knights now have one of the best frontcourts in the entire state with Hester,

Emmanuel Christian has had their talent spread across northwest Ohio after a coaching change and Hester seems to have found a nice fit with Toledo St Francis. Hester has excellent size and length to block shots and grab rebounds over smaller players in the paint. Developing a post game as well with his soft touch, Hester had a couple hook shots bounced around the rim before falling. Hester also flashed some jump-shooting ability with a couple mid-range looks and a 3-pointer in the two games I watched. One of the more interesting 2027 bigs from northwest Ohio, Hester is an obvious breakout candidate in the winter.

Hester is slowly starting the develop on both ends of the floor and was constantly making things happen throughout the game. He showed that he could protect the rim. Hester came up with rebounds on either end of the floor and was able to get 2nd chance efforts on the offensive glass. He finished inside the paint. Hester showed that he can score from behind the arc. He does a good job of running the floor. Hester is long as a country mile and length can cause disruption on the defensive end. He can guard multiple positions and can be hard to get buy if he is guarding on the perimeter.

Hester is an exciting new prospect to this event that I think will put his name on coaches’ radars. He is a 6’7 forward who has good length and is athletic. His strength is his athleticism and ability to play above the rim. He is a very good finisher because it’s tough to block his shot. He is a great rim protector on the other end of the floor as well. He covers ground quickly and does a great job of altering shots for the other team. A 2027 to watch out for.

Hester is a 6’7 forward who moves so well and fluidly. He showed the ability to switch ball screens. That is incredibly impressive for someone his size and the length he has. He plays the game the right way. He had multiple blocks and rebounds. He had a few dunks as well. I think Hester’s potential is incredibly high.
