Max had the best game that I’ve seen out of him this season, finishing with 19 points and although I haven’t seen an official number he was likely nearing a double-double with his assist numbers. Wilson was having a ton of success getting into the paint and zipping the ball to one of his cutting teammates. Also picked up an impressive assist throwing the ball ahead in transition and hitting his man in-stride towards the rim. He hit a few outside shots, threw down a transition dunk, and finished off a few drives at the rim for his 19 points. Also provides a ton of vocal energy on the floor.

Minneapolis North was down big early in a tough matchup with Lake City, but almost came all the way back to take down the Tigers. It was close, and they were in that position with a huge second half from Max. He scored from all three levels, attacking the basket with a full head of steam, getting to his spots in the mid-range, being able to knock down tough off-balance looks, sometimes with a hand in his face. He also showed off his range, connecting with a deep three-pointer in the final seconds to give his team a chance at the win. Wilson will be looked at to be the lead scorer for this Polar roster that has loads of potential.

Max played at a high level on Friday, leading his team to the 5v5 championship while also winning the 1v1 competition. He’s a talented shot creator who can get off his own shot in limited dribbles, and has deep range from beyond the arc. Showed off his athleticism in the open floor with a handful of dunks as well. Because of his passing vision he can play either guard spot, and when handling the ball for his team he was dangerous as a passer in pick & rolls. Does a great job of threading the needle and putting it right in his bigs’ hands on their way to the hoop.

is a six-foot-three-inch guard from Hopkins and played 2022 summer with Gain Elite. Wilson will play the role you need of him and can flip it on when the moment comes. In a December game versus Osseo Wilson may not have taken a shot, but assisted on 7 buckets. In an April AAU game he put in 27 second half points for a game high 33 points. From outside he made at least five 3’s, and worked defenders off the dribble.
