. At 5’9″, Rhodes’ smaller frame does not hinder him much at all, as he has been one of the more productive players on the roster, averaging 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He is a true two-way guard with a great feel for the game and is dynamic enough to make high-level plays on both ends of the floor. He is another reason why Crown Point is so loaded in the backcourt.

One of the three talented unsigned senior guards for Crown Point, Rhodes is a great athlete that makes up for his small stature with physical strength and explosiveness. The veteran point guard has played a lot of varsity basketball for the Bulldogs and is a big part of their 25-1 season. Rhodes, a 5’9″ playmaker, is averaging 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. Any program looking for a two-way floor general should spend Saturday night evaluating the Bulldogs’ backcourt.

There is no shortage of talent to go around in Crown Point’s rotation. There are two Division I signees and essentially everyone that touches the floor either will, or can, play college basketball. Rhodes is the steading, connecting piece of it all. The 5’8” guard plays well above his size due to his explosive quickness and great body control. He finished with 13 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals as Crown Point defeated Silver Creek 76-65. Rhodes is part of their excellent defense as well.

One of two Rhodes twins that have been impact players in the Crown Point High School backcourt for a couple of seasons now, Kingston is an explosive ball handler with strength and quickness to help make up for his 5’8″ stature. He will be the primary ball handler for what could be the preseason #1 team in the state this season. A handful of small college programs have shown interest in Rhodes, but his options remain open. Prep Hoops Indiana was at Crown Point open gym on Monday, October 6th and Rhodes played very well showcasing his two-way ability in the backcourt.

A small, lightning quick guard, Rhodes plays well above his height. He is physically strong which allows him to play through and absorb some contact on the perimeter and has an explosive pop at the end of his drives when elevating to finish. Rhodes will once again play a big role in a loaded Crown Point High School backcourt. His ability to make plays for his teammates and contribute at a high-level without needing to score a ton should attract the attention of small college programs in need of a true point guard.

There is obviously not shortage of talent at Crown Point High School, but this 5’9″ guard had some small college coaches talking on Friday. Rhodes was excellent scoring in transition and was comfortable finishing with both hands at the end of his drives. He has some explosiveness and a strong upper body which allows him to finish against size. Rhodes was consistently disruptive as an on-ball defender too. Very, very quick.
