At 6’2″, Boomsma is a true combo guard who made smart cuts to the basket and stood out as one of the better rebounding guards in the gym. He played extremely hard whenever he was on the floor in both games.

Being able to bring prospects down from The Region and pair them with and against players from Evansville, New Albany, and elsewhere is part of what makes the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase special. Boomsma was one of several prospects to make the trip down from Crown Point High School and the 6’2″ really impressed with his size and physical tools. He was able to bully smaller defenders around the basket while his skill level and quickness gave him an advantage on the perimeter against bigger defenders. Well-rounded young prospect.
