About Keaton
Expert Analysis
Ryan James | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the hardest working players in his class, Keaton was one of the best three players on the Fury top team. Has good size at guard and was the most consistent player the Fury likely had this season. A very good shooter and can play both guard spots.

Keaton is a play-making point guard who excelled at getting others involved offensively. He’s a great passer and ball-handler who found ways to get around defenders and make plays. Keaton was easily the team leader in assists during the match-up against Quad Cities Academy 15u. A majority of his passes were placed in spots where other teammates had great chances of converting. Some were bounce passes and no-looks, others threaded the needle. Don’t be fooled by his passing prowess, Keaton can also score when he needs to. He’s great at attacking the paint and scoring with a variety of lay-ups. He’s also an excellent shooter who can knock down shots from mid or long range. I saw a video of Keaton hitting a half court bomb to win the game at the buzzer later in the day. This shows the fight and determination this young man has to never give up on a game. Keaton is a legit “floor general” who I believe will have a great career in the game of basketball.

Haag is a good ball handler that plays the point guard position traditionally and is able. Haag also can attack his opponents off the dribble from the perimeter and shoot from the outside too.

Keaton took over in the second half of a big win in the 15U semifinals. The freshman guard displayed a lot of confidence and ability to create for himself using the dribble. I was really impressed with some of his takes to the basket, being able to make one move to get by his defender to then convert on a tough finish inside. Haag is also a major threat to shoot from the perimeter, as is a player that is very tough to slow down once he gets going.

A standout guard Haag can hit from beyond the arc with ease, carrying the Fury in the first half on Saturday afternoon. With a clean shot Haag is a standout perimeter shooter who can also move the ball around to create open looks for his teammates. The guard showcased good vision assisting on multiple buckets throughout the game. At 6’0 Haag can hold his own down low as well getting in the lane for multiple easy layups.

Haag is a player to watch because of his combination of size, skill, and scoring ability. He carries himself well on the court, and it doesn’t take long to see that he can really hoop. He’s a major threat from 3-point range with a smooth, effortless, and accurate shooting stroke that makes him dangerous anytime he touches the ball. What also makes Keaton stand out is his ability to attack off the bounce and score inside the arc. He’s more than just a shooter, showing the versatility to impact the game in multiple ways. On a loaded Antl Fury team, he’s proven himself as a talented player who makes plays and produces offensively.
