2029 High Level New Names to Know

When we release the 2029 updated rankings in the next handful of days there are going to be 100 new names. Of that group of 100 players, here are the high level new names to know for the top of the rankings.    At 6'6 Jamari is a true five man and he helped the Fury with really good footwork and good hands to finish. His development took a really nice step this spring/summer and as he physically matures he will be able to use those good hands and feet to finish on balance against size.     The latest St. Peter up and coming guard that can handle duel roles. We've seen Isaiah handle the point position and play the role running the offense, and we've seen him using the shooting touch to quickly release for production in small windows. Versatile combo guard based on a quality 15u year.     When it comes to players that had outstanding runs in the winter, spring and summer, Landon is on the short list of the most successful. CMC was one of the top Class A teams in the state and Landon was a key player for them as a freshman. He then went and led the Stars, a top five 15u team, in scoring as a consistent paint threat. Can defend the ball screen, has improved facing and attacking, and has good length.     One of the hardest working players in his class, Keaton was one of the best three players on the Fury top team. Has good size at guard and was the most consistent player the Fury likely had this season. A very good shooter and can play both guard spots.     Axel became a more consistent scorer this 15u season and you saw him produce both attacking the paint to creatively finish, and hit from the arc.   Has shown the knack to be a player that steps up as a clutch playmaker making key threes, creating off the attack, and finding ways to finish at 5'11 in the paint.     Groves was a regular on all event teams as his Fury K team became one of the top ten teams in the state. A true go to scorer at 15u, Oliver went at the rim and found numerous ways to finish for his team. A big reason he put up such consistent point numbers was his ability to score off the ball on cuts, putbacks and floor runs as well. Always on balance, always in control, and a player that can compete at either guard spot.     We've spent some time talking about the young Edina players that are going to help the team sooner than later and Connor is one of those guys. He was the top rebounder and shot blocker for Hoop Habits this year as Connor plays with a motor.   The skills are growing and as they do, Johnson is a relentless worker that helps the team with effort.     The Titans had some big event finishes this season including the Comets Shootout championship and it was their guard play that regularly led the team to victories. Connor was one of those main guards who has a textbook shooting touch with great timing, but also is a smart player that can handle the job as the lead guard too.     The last real look we got at White was at the state tournament when he played a big part in Blake making the state tournament. His length and big hands allowed him to defend bigger than his height, and to skillfully control the ball using the size, skill, and agility combination to put points on the board. Has the look of a player that is going to grow and there is already skill and agility to him that teams have had a terrible time defending.     We talked about Dupree recently in the 7AAA preview but we are here again to restate that Dupree is the next standout coming to Denfeld. He played a big role as a frosh and was an outstanding player for [program_tooltip program_id='2078859' first='Starks' last='Elite'] this 15u season. Dupree is a really good passer and shooter and he mixes those pieces well, plus his first step is among the quickest in his class.
