Landon Morales Landon Morales 5'8" | PG Maple Grove | 2030 State MN is a five-foot-eight-inch 2030 Maple Grove and Gain Elite guard. Morales throughout the winter showcased himself as a guard who could lead a team as a ball handler and feed multiple teammates with the necessary passes. In AAU play with Gain Elite Morales in a more fluid environment showed he could shoot the ball from the perimeter while also playing at faster pace while still moving the ball around the floor. In 3v3 at the Freshman Showcase Morales was hitting shots spotted up, off the dribble in the mid-range and from beyond the arc, and looked quick and smooth with the ball.

Morales has shown this spring and summer that he can adjust on the fly as lead guard and play within the framework of whatever system he joins. The quick point guard led the attack with passing and defense for Crossfire and showed he’s still able to shoot from the perimeter.

Landon is very smooth and was fun to watch work with the ball in his hands in 3v3 play. He was tough to guard, as he can hurt the defense in a variety of ways. He looked good when getting to a pull-up mid-range jumper, being able to stop on a dime and get a shot off. Morales also has the quickness to get inside with ease.

Morales is a very crafty guard who plays with good pace and awareness. He’s shifty as a ball-handler and takes good care of the basketball as he maneuvers by the defense to find his spots. I really like Morales’s ability to facilitate; he’s constantly searching for the open teammate, making sure everyone gets touches. The ball moves fast and efficiently when he’s tasked with primary ball-handling duties. Morales isn’t just limited to being a playmaker, he’s also a gifted scorer who can score from all three levels and create his own shot.
