Morales shows good quickness with the ball and is an adequate ball handler.

Landon Morales Landon Morales 5'8" | PG Osseo Middle | 2030 MN – Morales is a 2030 guard from Maple Grove that was playing with MN Crossfire Witt 14U. Morales has shown this spring and summer that he can adjust on the fly as lead guard and play within the framework of whatever system he joins. The quick point guard led the attack with passing and defense for Crossfire and showed he’s still able to shoot from the perimeter.

Landon is very smooth and was fun to watch work with the ball in his hands in 3v3 play. He was tough to guard, as he can hurt the defense in a variety of ways. He looked good when getting to a pull-up mid-range jumper, being able to stop on a dime and get a shot off. Morales also has the quickness to get inside with ease.

Morales is a very crafty guard who plays with good pace and awareness. He’s shifty as a ball-handler and takes good care of the basketball as he maneuvers by the defense to find his spots. I really like Morales’s ability to facilitate; he’s constantly searching for the open teammate, making sure everyone gets touches. The ball moves fast and efficiently when he’s tasked with primary ball-handling duties. Morales isn’t just limited to being a playmaker, he’s also a gifted scorer who can score from all three levels and create his own shot.
