One of the first southeast Ohio prospects to earn a spot in the 2028 rankings, Alexander had a great freshman season, hitting a game winning shot to eliminate Jackson in the playoffs. Alexander is not afraid to take and make the big shot and he’s averaged over 25 PPG in the first three Waverly wins of the season. The last guard from Waverly with this much juice was Trey Robertson and he finished with over 2,000 high school points and has been a three year starter at Rio Grande University. Alexander has the potential to be the next SOC POY from the Tigers program.

Late in the game Alexander made key plays to help his team secure a crucial early morning victory. Tough to stay in front of at the point of attack, Alexander can get by the first defender and then get creative with how he wants to look to score or set up his teammates. The lefty made a splash at the varsity level as a freshman and should be one of the top players in all of southeast Ohio as soon as this winter.

From last season to this season I’ve noticed a clear difference in Alexander as an athlete. Growing a couple inches and filling out his frame physically, Alexander is starting to grow into his body and looks like an even better athlete than he was as a freshman. Defensively, Alexander was flying around the court with numerous steals that led to layups in transition. My favorite layup finish was the pinoy step that allowed him to score a tough right-handed finish through traffic. One of the most productive 2028 prospects from southeast Ohio, Alexander is a name basketball junkies from other parts of the state will learn as he continues in his high school career.

A scrappy guard who doesn’t shy away from going to the paint despite being one of the youngest and smallest players in the fall league, Alexander had a nice day on a short handed team missing some of their top talent. The lefty had a couple nice drives that led to kickouts to shooters. Also able to knock down an open jumper, Alexander hit a couple 3-pointers on Saturday. Finally, Alexander played with a lot of energy in the full court press and caused some havoc with his energy.
