You know when you watch a player from Newark you are going to get toughness, physicality and defensive unity. Newark were one of the best teams in Ohio this past season and Meister played a key role as a glue guy, averaging 4.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists while starting every game. Meister also contributed to the Midwest Basketball Club MHC 16 U team that won the Summer Live tournament. I expect Meister to play a more prominent offensive role this season but the impact he made in ways that don’t show up on the box score are where Meister separates himself.

Meister is the type of player every team needs because he does a little bit of everything to help his squad win. He provided valuable scoring depth for his Midwest Basketball Club MHC team while consistently making the right play within the flow of the offense. Meister has an outstanding pulse for the game, frequently using his court vision to connect with teammates for quality scoring opportunities. He also put himself in the right spots to secure rebounds, showing a strong feel for the game and a willingness to do the dirty work. His unselfish approach, high basketball IQ, and ability to contribute across multiple facets make him a valuable piece who positively impacts winning.

High motor guard that puts downhill pressure on defense with the ball. Would fit into either a 1 or 2 spot at this phase in his career. Consistently created offensive flow with drive and kick actions, back door passes, or finding cutters in the lane. Mixes in runners or drives to the hole at the rim through contact. Defensively will remain active on bigger bodies to contest. Overall a team first gritty guard that helps battle to win plays.
