I caught Cochran in the winter at the high school level and he impressed me with his strong legs and base as an athlete. A power athlete, Cochran has the strength to go right through you if you aren’t ready to match his physicality. As a scorer, Cochran is at his best when he’s turning defense into offense as his two hand jam in transition was off a steal he made. With his strength and aggressiveness getting to the paint, Cochran was living at the foul line on Saturday and forcing the defense to foul him to prevent easy layups. One of the more underrated 2028 prospects from central Kentucky, Cochran could be a name who picks up some steam with performances like this more consistently.

Cochran is a shifty guard who excels at scoring the ball once he gets into the paint. Josh is skilled and has a knack for making the right reads once he’s attacking off of a ball screen. With his ability to score and his team losing multiple players recently, Cochran may need to shoulder a heavier load for his team this season.

Collins is really young and Cochran played a decent role for the Titans this season with the potential to see many more minutes as a Sophomore and beyond. Josh is a bigger guard who can use his frame to back down smaller guards and score on them. Don’t be surprised if Cochran is a double figure scorer next season.
