Colleges looking for a big man who can score from the high post or bully his way to the rim down low, Pretty could fill either role. He was instrumental in keeping Alijah Curry relatively quiet throughout while finishing with 16 points and 11 rebounds himself.

The Bash’s host school got big performances from two players. Pretty, who might have been the biggest winner in terms of stock this week, put the state on notice with his play. He had 21 points and 9 rebounds on 9-12 shooting from the field and 2-3 shooting from behind the arc against EYBL Scholastic Sunrise Christian. Despite being outsized by many of the defenders assigned to him, none of them outworked Jayden. He frequently scored off the dribble while finishing around multiple bodies, but he also consistently knocked down the perimeter shot to add spacing to the Blazer offense. And, when it mattered most, Pretty stepped up and made big shots down the stretch to help seal the victory for Ridge View.

Pretty certainly plays around the basket with his ability to finish. Jayden is an undersized post with a good skill set. Pretty seems to be undervalued at times with his play on the floor. He’s highly effective from the elbow in and really shows off some crafty passing skills.

Pretty made the up from #31 to #27 this time around in the 2024 Palmetto State Rankings.

Jayden Pretty Jayden Pretty 6'6" | PF Ridge View | 2024 State SC rounds out our list of the Class 4A Super 7. Pretty had a very productive Grassroots Season with Carolina Pressure , one of the most successful teams in the state this summer. Jayden is very fluid in his movement on the court, and also has sound feet and soft hands. He is also polished on the offensive end facing up or with his back-to-the-basket, and is a great offensive rebounder.

Pretty was anything but Pretty this summer with his play. He was NASTY at times with his play around the basket. He had a good Grassroots season with Carolina Pressure .

Jaylen finishes it seems like everything around the basket and has the ability to step-out to the short corner for good measure. He has GREAT hands to catch anything thrown in his direction. Pretty keeps the ball up high after claiming it off the glass. He works through contact very well down in the paint.

Was solid throughout the weekend but he saved some of his best play for the championship game. He would score a game high of 27 Points, and despite his team coming up short, he proved himself as a legit prospect in the area for 2024.
