About Charles
Expert Analysis
Andrew Baxley | Prep Hoops Scout
Another Columbia-area guard who showed out in Rock Hill is Davis. I was familiar with Charles coming into the camp, but this was the closest I was able to follow him – and he didn’t disappoint. He is a quick and shifty guard who gets to the rim and finishes effectively. He is also a solid shot-maker, which allowed him to stay effective while playing off the ball. Defensively, Charles’ quickness translates to containing the ball, along with active hands that make life difficult for opposing matchups. Keep an eye out for this Ridge View guard to be one of their next guys up in a few years.

A high-energy guard who thrives in transition and creates constant pressure on both ends of the floor. His ability to push the pace after defensive stops stood out, consistently turning turnovers and rebounds into scoring opportunities. Defensively, he set the tone with aggressive on-ball pressure, making opposing ball handlers uncomfortable and forcing tough decisions. His activity level created extra possessions and led to scoring opportunities at the free-throw line. In the half court, he attacked closeouts with purpose, using his quick first step and ability to get downhill to collapse the defense. Elevated his impact after halftime by bringing increased intensity, attacking the rim, and making winning plays when the game mattered most.
