The third Unleashed 8th Grader to make this list is Smith. Omari didn’t have a ton of the ball in his hands in the game and a half that I caught on Thursday, but he has excellent size for his age to be dominant in the paint. Smith was good on the glass and has good hands to deflect passes and block shots, which gives him a high floor as a big man. If he can become a little more mobile and develop a go-to offensive move, that will unlock Omari’s full skillset.
