was as important to Ridge View’s third-round win as anyone. Not only did he lead the team with 20 points, but it felt like every shot he made injected life into the crowd and the rest of the team. That started early, as he knocked down three first-quarter threes to push the Blazers out to an early lead. It continued in the second half, including an important right-corner three that quieted a Dorman run, plus a true logo three to give Ridge View a three-point lead at the end of the third quarter. Chris is one of the rare “big-game players” who comes off the bench, so look for him to hit more big shots throughout this postseason run.

Put together a nice overall showing on the day, displaying his ability to be a scorer and facilitator. He didn’t turn the ball over often, was efficient with the shots he took and was solid on the defensive end without fouling.

Horton plays on a very talented Ridge View HS Blazers squad already. He runs with new EYBL member Team USC on the Grassroots Circuit. Christopher can beat you with his ability to get the ball into the paint and create looks for his teammates or with his jumper.
Horton made the move up from 38 to 24 in this latest update of the 2027 Palmetto State Rankings.
Horton will surely make jump shots on a daily basis from the field. He shoots the ball at a good clip from the perimeter. Christopher never seems to force his shot and always looks to have it lock and loaded from the pocket.

begins our next category of prospects for film review, and he submitted some highlights from this year’s Nike Peach Jam. Horton was one of the state’s biggest breakout stars of July and his tape showcased why. Christopher is a terrific perimeter shooter including having a game with 5 3PM in North Augusta. He excelled off the ball as a spot-up shooter and as a shot creator displaying tough step-backs and movement shots. Horton also showcased a little bit of playmaking using his impressive handle and vision to find his bigs around the paint. One area where I feel he could improve is with the in-between scoring game. Taking the next step as a contested finisher and mid-range shooter would help Horton’s stock tremendously.

was one impressive name for Team 1 given his ability to lead in the backcourt. He showed he could lead the backcourt with his ability to handle the ball and knock down shots in space. He did well to keep opponents on their toes with his ability to attack the basket and knock down shots. He showed off his range and ability to play with others as a scoring threat and defensive threat. He’s a wiry guard to keep an eye on out of Ridge View High.
