Samajae is another junior who makes a big jump into the Top 20. He sat at #90 overall this time last year, steadily climbing his way up the rankings and establishing himself as one of the best guards in the state. Whether it’s a game, practice, or camp, Govan is always going to get his buckets because of how competitive he is. He averaged 17.0 points per game in 2025-26, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him be one of the highest scorers in the state in 2026-27.

Samajae was one of the best junior guards in the state this season. While putting up 17 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals a night, Govan helped lead Dutch Fork to a Region Championship and a birth in the third round of the playoffs. He also happens to be a super fun watch, because you never know what type of highlight play you are going to get from him.

One of the most impressive underclassmen that we saw in attendance, he pretty much got where he wanted on the court and converted all types of shots even when he was closely guarded. He has a quick first step that he uses to blow by defenders, impressive shooting range from beyond the arc and an advanced IQ for the game that helps him to make the right decision for the most part.

Govan was terrific in Team USC Premier’s win over Strong Center. He set the tone early with energy on the defensive end of the floor and high-flying finishes on the offensive end of the floor. Samajae also had several tough, self-created buckets in the half-court that displayed his deep bag of dribble moves. His handle, quickness, and finishing ability were all impressive and allowed him to make plays for both himself and his teammates. Govan finished with 11 points, 3 assists, and 4 steals in Game One.
