The Silver Foxes weren’t at full strength on Wednesday, with several football players having to stay back in Columbia, so Anthony got the reins of the offense. He has proven that it is a good thing during the spring with Upward Columbia, so it’s great to see his increased confidence and development translate to the high school game. Zavion has a great feel for changing pace in attack mode and knows when and how to get others involved, so he’s a true Point Guard who coaches love to coach and players want to play with.

The biggest stock riser in the June Rankings Update is Zavion Anthony Zavion Anthony 5'8" | PG Dutch Fork | 2028 State SC . Anthony is the type of Point Guard you want to build your team around; he is a vocal leader, sets up his teammates for success, and plays hard on both ends of the floor. Despite not having a ton of varsity experience, Zavion is still one of the smartest players in his class and will only get better and more polished as he gets more minutes.

Zavion Anthony Zavion Anthony 5'8" | PG Dutch Fork | 2028 State SC is one of my favorite guards in South Carolina’s 2028 Class. He raises both the floor and the ceiling of his team every time he’s on the floor because of how he competes defensively and dictates the style of play offensively. He’s a winning player and team-first guard who will see a big jump in his ranking next month.

Zavion is one of the top-ranked Point Guards outside the top 100 of the Prep Hoops South Carolina 2028 Rankings. He came on late with the Silver Foxes this year, including a 9-assist game near the end of the region slate. Anthony has a remarkable feel for reading defenses and setting up teammates, especially when you take into account his age and experience level. Keep an eye on him with Upward Stars Columbia this spring.

Coming into the night, Zavion Anthony Zavion Anthony 5'8" | PG Dutch Fork | 2028 State SC averaged just 2.6 points per game and 1.6 assists per game in 20 appearances. However, in the second matchup with White Knoll, he exploded with 9 assists in one of the most impressive passing displays I’ve seen all season long. Anthony is far from a bench warmer and has contributed for the Silver Foxes, even going back to the June Scholastic Period, but it was awesome to see him pop off with a big night and potentially carve out a bigger role for himself heading down the stretch.
