Although I didn’t get to see him at his very best, there were still lots of good things to see from Jackson on Thursday. He is a fast-paced Point Guard who wants to push the tempo every chance he gets. Whether that’s after a turnover, a missed shot, or even a made one, Dickerson was always looking to gain an advantage and get a teammate an easier look. He also displayed some shiftiness with the ball in his hands and has a strong frame, so it’s all about understanding the right way to play and the right chances to take in order for him to be his best and his team to be successful.

Dickerson will be one of the top-ranked prospects once the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class of 2030 Rankings drop next spring, particularly because of the physical tools and impact on winning that he already has. Jackson looks faster, stronger, and taller than the last time I saw him, plus he has a unique passing feel for a player of his age. Whether he’s pushing the pace in transition, reading and breaking down a defense off the dribble, or getting the team through their sets, it’s clear to see that Dickerson is a true Point Guard with a bright future.
