Blazers Win 5th State Title:
Ridge View HS defeated a very feisty Riverside HS 58-52 to claim its 5th title in school history. The Blazers led 32-26 at the halftime break. Ridge View HS finishes the season at (27-2) while Riverside HS finishes the season at (25-5).
Iturbe Finishes Career:
Julen Iturbe Julen Iturbe 6'8" | PF Riverside | 2024 State #234 Nation SC the #2 player in the 2024 Palmetto State Class finished his career with 12 points here tonight. Iturbe will take his talents to American University next season. Julen left everything out on the floor with his complete effort. He battled all night long through contact but fell just a bit short.
Pretty is Still UNSIGNED:
WHY? Jayden Pretty Jayden Pretty 6'6" | PF Ridge View | 2024 State SC really brings his lunch pail to work every night. Jayden finished with 15 points around the paint area. Jayden can finish over bigger post players with his quick feet and ability to finish through contact. Don’t let the size scare you – the kid really delivers on every given night. He can step out to the short corner or the elbow to knockdown jumpers when needed.
Corbett Rises to Occasion:
Korie Corbett Korie Corbett 6'3" | SF Ridge View | 2026 State SC led the Blazers with 18 points here in the win tonight. Corbett the #2 player in the 2026 Palmetto State Class was extremely active around the bucket as a quick slasher and attacker. Korie plays his best basketball when in attack mode going to the rack.
Good Production off the Bench:
Sebi Boyogueno Sebi Boyogueno 6'3" | SF Riverside | 2026 SC and Robert Wylie Robert Wylie 6'3" | CG Ridge View | 2027 State SC both came off the bench tonight to help their teams respectively. Boyogueno finished with 10 points and showed the ability to slash to the basket while getting downhill. He has a great motor and good length to be active on both ends of court.
Wylie finished with 7 points in the win for the Blazers. Robert hit a few big shots while showing plenty of composure out on the floor as a freshman.
Strong Guard Play:
Yale Davis Yale Davis 5'9" | PG Ridge View | 2026 State SC and Joshua Smith Joshua Smith 6'2" | CG Ridge View | 2024 State SC helped Ridge View HS prevail tonight. Davis a left-handed point guard was able to set the table at times while getting shifty with the ball in his hands. Smith a UNSIGNED Senior scored just 5 points, but they came at a big time late in the game.
Jack Sauer and Drew Cannon both played in their last games as seniors for the Warriors. Sauer logged all 32 minutes while scoring 6 points. Cannon connected on few three pointers and finished with 11 points. Mikkel Skinner suffered foul troubles all night long for the Warriors. Skinner a junior recorded 44 receptions on the gridiron this past season.
