The veteran you need on the floor as much as possible! Mr. get the job done, on the boards, behind the arc, at the rim, in transition, on defense, it doesn’t matter Cook will get it done. I have watched this young man develop over the years and his hunger to hone his craft and improve his game is what separates him the most for me compared to other athletes in his class. To me the backbone of this Broken Arrow team and with an undefeated season hanging in the balance Dason and the Tigers aren’t looking rot take any prisoners as he closes the chapter to his high school career with eyes set on a 6A State Title.

Cook is a big very versatile guy that can shoot the three and is a threat in the post as well. He started the game with two back-to-back buckets to get his team going and stayed consistent throughout. Being a lefty he throws the defense off balance and can be a tough guard. When the ball goes up in the air he routinely crashes the glass and gives his team second chance opportunities. On the defensive end if he is anywhere around the basketball he is most likely going to end up with the rebound.

as he continues to be one of the more underrated players in Class 6A. Cook was the leading scorer for the Tigers in their win on Thursday and he led all scorers with 17 points. We mentioned Cook last week following their win over Owasso and how he’s the perfect example of how the Tigers have embraced “position-less basketball” and continues to beat opponents in a variety of ways.

and his performance on Tuesday night is a perfect example of Broken Arrow’s belief in position-less basketball. Cook is a 6’6 forward but the Tigers have several players in their starting lineup that range from 6’5 to 6’7. They do a great job of switching and playing multiple positions on the floor. And before the game has moved to more of a belief of position-less basketball, Cook would spend almost all of his time in the paint and not touch the perimeter. But Cook showed that he could knock down shots from the perimeter with a couple made shots from three-point territory. Cook is a player to keep an eye on moving forward as the Tigers look to contend for the state championship. He plays a very important role for the Tigers and does it incredibly well as we watched on Tuesday night.
