Wallace also stood out against the Pro 16 competition in Texas with Team Oklahoma. He looked extremely comfortable on the offensive side of the floor, showing confidence as a shooter. The junior provided deep range from behind the arc with good elevation on his shot. Whether it was a trail transition 3-pointer or a relocation half-court jumper, Wallace continues to show that when he is confident and plays with a solid base he can be a very consistent outside shooter. Defensively, he continues to grow. His positioning and effort were on full display as he forced turnovers and disrupted shots by playing straight up in the mid-post.

A rising junior, who has thrived so far early this season. Tuesday brought a tough test, with some bright spots and some learning moments. Had a couple scores in the fourth to end the game on a strong note. But earlier in the contest, he had some difficulties with the quickness and aggressiveness of the PCN defense. It’s an adjustment for Wallace with this being his first year as a varsity starter. And with more experience, his handles should tighten and his feel for the game as a primary ballhandler should improve as well.

Following the graduation of a deep class, newcomer Wallace should provide a boost for the Tigers. His ability to operate as a floor spacing sniper could be crucial for a BA squad with quality size. He should feast off the double teams that his teammates draw. Importantly, he’s grown and starting to fill out. Which will help handle the physicality of 6A as a ball handler. And he can be a sneaky good passer when ran off the line.

A sharpshooter who is getting busy with his AAU program from deep. While also getting comfortable with his new school program. Shooting has always been at the forefront of his game. So it was also good to see a mixture of passing and setting up his teammates in the clips. Adding to his complete game will be vital as he looks to make nose for a BA team that is expected to be among the contenders in Class 6A.

Has a good feel for the game. Has a picture-perfect jump shot from unlimited range. He has impressive handles for a gifted shooter and has fluid movement with his game. He was consistently one of the team leaders in scoring for his Southern Assault Texoma AAU squad on the day and was impressive in every game. If he is open, it’s going in.

A scrappy all around guard, he’s now playing up with Chaos Bruner. Spent last weekend in KC at Recruit Look where his top notch shooting ability was firmly on display. Little wasted motion as he pulls the trigger quickly and with confidence from deep. Even clear in the clips that he runs hard to his spots in transition to provide spacing and in this case making it rain. Some other recent highlights also show him getting smoother and more confident with off the dribble threes.

Wallace thrived this summer and is now ready for a bigger role at one of Oklahoma’s top high school programs. Still a quality shooter from deep and midrange. And he’s now quick and more confident in his all around game. Good handle, plays with head on a swivel as a passer. Starting to play with more swagger and toughness on defense. The building blocks are continuing to come together for the 918 youngster.

Wallace continued his strong summer by knocking down threes and showing more swagger as a defender and driver. During one three on three session, he picked the pocket of one of the best players at the camp. Good footwork on an “euro” take during 5 on 5. Has made huge strides over the last 6 months, and with his shooting ability looks set to impact winning by providing depth for the 5A favorites Hornets.

With a chance to earn minutes as part of the rotation for one of the best high school teams in Oklahoma, Wallace is putting his best foot forward this summer. Playing up in 17U Division, he was a confident and clutch jump shooter from three during big moments in a close game. Shooting is a great ticket to early minutes for younger guards who are still growing. And if Wallace can master the bulldog type mentality that seems to be a requirement to be a Hornet, there’s a chance we’ll be seeing him hit big shots this winter as well.
