In the final week of the regular season, Sutton scored clutch buckets and free throws in a dramatic win against Union. It was a good primer for the big role that he would play in the playoffs. Tonight he was absolutely clutch. Hitting big shots in the mid-range and in the rim.  When Sutton had an opening, or even when contested, he didn’t miss. He was 8-9 from the field for a team high 19 points. The senior was their most consistent offensive weapon tonight.

The 6 foot 5 wing has long had the tools to be a collegiate player. The way he’s played during this stretch run for BA could be a sign of a bright future.

Sutton started the game by scoring seven of Broken Arrow First thirteen points. Throughout the rest of the first half, he impacted the game more on the defensive end while broken arrow played that matchup zone. He does a great job of closing spaces and being able to recover when it appears as if he has gotten beat. During the second half of the game, he was able to show his versatility and ability to make plays with the basketball.

Athletic and fearless with a high IQ for the game makes Justice Sutton Justice Sutton 6'5" | SF Broken Arrow | 2023 State OK a dangerous asset for the Tigers going into the playoffs. Sutton has a high motor with a smooth demeanor at times it seems like the reads and decisions he makes on the court are so effortless as he gets after it. Excellent and controlling pace on the offensive and defensive side of the game a great option to have the ball in his hands in late game situations which their are bound to be a lot of in this potentially deep playoff push for the Tigers.

When we talk about Broken Arrow’s lineup and how they can beat teams with their length, their balance and their depth, senior Justice Sutton Justice Sutton 6'5" | SF Broken Arrow | 2023 State OK is the perfect example of that. Sutton has made scoring in double figures a regular occurrence this season and he has provided a boost to a Broken Arrow offense that was already pretty solid coming into this season. We wrote about Sutton last week when the Tigers took down Booker T Washington and Sutton led the team with 23 points. He has that capability of leading the team in scoring, or just playing his role and creating on the offensive end of the floor when asked to do so. And at 6’5, Sutton provides yet another long athlete that is capable of going off on any given night. There are a few other examples like Sutton as well, making BA very dangerous.

In our Monday feature, we wrote about Broken Arrow being the “beast of the east” in Class 6A this season and they got a chance to prove that again on Tuesday night when they took down Booker T Washington with a 72-55 win at home. The Tigers have had a very balanced scoring attack to start the season and one of their emerging seniors is Justice Sutton Justice Sutton 6'5" | SF Broken Arrow | 2023 State OK . The senior is part of a very long but athletic lineup that the Tigers have unleashed on Oklahoma this season. He would lead them in scoring with 23 on Tuesday. The Tigers are 5-0 on the season and have looked impressive in all five games. They travel to Jenks on Friday night before heading to Orlando for a tournament in two weeks. Sutton is definitely a 2023 prospect that we’re going to keep our eye throughout the season.

Justice Sutton Justice Sutton 6'5" | SF Broken Arrow | 2023 State OK was lights out to start off this game. He had the first seven points of the game, picking those up in a variety of ways. He picked up the first two points by shooting 2/2 from the free throw line (2-0). He then showed a hesitation, drive, and finish with a reverse layup to pick up the next two points (4-0). To top off this 7-0 run, he knocked down a three (7-0). In the first quarter, he outscored their opponent 11-5.
