Connor played a key role for
Northstar Titans
over the weekend, helping them advance all the way to the 17u semi-finals. I saw him in his opening game on Friday night, where he drained a handful of threes in a big win. Playing alongside

, he was free to roam around a bit, and his off-ball movement opened up a lot of good looks. He could beat defenders with hard cuts to the basket leading to easy finishes inside. Moves well at 6’7 which allowed him to guard smaller players when his team went with a bigger lineup.

Connor is another 2027 who showed some intriguing flashes on Saturday. Despite the loss, Connor turned heads with his mobility at 6’6-6’7, as well as his handle out on the perimeter. Early in the game he broke his defender down before draining a pull-up jumper. He’s comfortable playing with some physicality in the post and rebounding the ball, but showed those flashes out on the perimeter that you don’t often see in guys his size.

Connor McDevitt – McDevitt is a six-foot-five-inch wing from Burnsville who is a solid ball handler for a wing, and seems to have a bit of wiggle in his pull-up jumper game. Can shoot it from range, and in the first half of the game I watched I would like to see him be more aggressive demanding the ball. In the 2nd half he was much more demanding, looking for shots and making his presence felt. He screened and rolled well, used size and agility to his advantage.
