Gavin scored just under ten points a game last winter for a Blaine team that went to state and then he had a really good season for Northstar Titans Johnson at 17u.

Gavin really stepped up in the summer with games of 20 points and eight boards, a 27 point game, and then at the Pacesetter camp Olson was one of the best players there averaging 18 points and 15 boards across the three games. Olson has recently visited Northwestern-St. Paul and Crown College. A 6’6, 190 pound four man that we think will have a big year for Blaine who is trying to return to state.

There’s a lot to like about Olson and what he can do on the court. First of all, he plays with energy and effort. It especially stands out on the defensive side of the ball. He pressures and plays up on his opponent possessing the ball. Flies around all over the court. Has some good length in his arms at 6’4”. Played on a wing and was catching the ball in the high post area as well. Per Gamechanger app, he had games of 8 points, 7 points, and 17 points, for a 10.7 scoring average.
