Jensen looks to attack the lane, playing a big role for Cherokee Trail early on. Capable handling the ball against tight pressure, he has a quick change of pace necessary to create separation one on one. Putting up 8.8 points in his first 5 games, he looks to get into his opponents’ space given his low center of gravity to move around opponents.

Jensen has shown value throughout the club season by pressuring the rim, bringing a high energy style of play. Bringing a quick first step, he does an excellent job of reading the floor quickly to get opponents on their heels early. Showing legitimate upside as a lead guard within Cherokee Trail’s context, he holds his own versus physical defensive pressure, bringing counter moves to create space one on one. That energy translates to the defensive side too, which is a must for him to garner significant minutes at the varsity level.

Jensen looks ready for the varsity level at Cherokee Trail, comfortable getting to his looks within a few dribbles. Capable of attacking closeouts for finishes at the rim or floaters in traffic, the guard has added to his toolbox this summer. Arguably the biggest difference for Jensen has been his comfort against the fast pace of the varsity and 17U levels, holding his own verus aggressive defenders. Defensively, Jensen has great vision reading the passing lanes, getting a hand up early to deflect or steal passes.
