About Cooper

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Strong defense and impact player. Willing to do the work and grind for the ball. Drives to the basket and a 3-point shooter when needed. Team player and takes command of the floor to complete plays or urgent time clock situations.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Don't get frustrated or lose my cool with players or referees. Encourage my teammates when they do well on a play or pick them up when they are off or feeling down. Staying levelheaded when there is urgent time clock situation left of shooting the ball or running a play when there may be a few minutes or seconds left.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have helped with leadership to take control of the basketball game to make sure it runs smoothly. Running plays, communicating with teammates on the floor and making sure teammates are in position. Encourage teammates to push thru and strive to win the game and not get frustrated.

No significant challenges that I can remember.

Jasper is a player who stands out for me because of his patience and ability to let the play develop. He has solid footwork, finished through contact and put defenders on his hip and went straight up. He rebounds, runs the floor, and passes it open teammates. The thing that really sticks out to me which separates him from anyone else at this grade is his positioning on the block. He passed it and got set, demanded the ball and rest on the block for some easy finishes and that’s not something that you see at the 15U level. The game is going to slow down for him and he’s going to be an elite post guy and it is fun to see it while it is still early.
