Expert Analysis
Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
We only caught Tres once toward the end of the summer, but he made that one time count. The toughness jumped out immediately. He sought out contact instead of avoiding it, competed for loose balls and rebounds and brought a motor that seemed to get him some easy baskets. When he got inside he was a force, he finished through contact and scored in transition.. I expect this freshman season to be much more about development than anything else, and that’s fine. Tres has some of the competitive traits you can’t teach and it will be contagious. Now he gets a year to add skill, get stronger and faster and adapt to high school ball. It’ll be interesting for him to figure out where his strengths fit best. One viewing was enough for the Watch List; the next yearshould tell us much more.

Tres was a major difference maker for Colorado Swoosh with the toughness and effort he brought every time he was on the court. He embraced the physical side of the game, fighting through traffic and never backing down from contact. Whether attacking the basket or battling for loose balls and rebounds, he consistently did the dirty work that helped his team win. Offensively he showed a strong scoring ability, finishing through defenders and making the most of his opportunities. His relentless motor, physicality and willingness to make the hard plays gave his team a spark in their contests and made him one of the toughest competitors to watch all weekend
