Mitchell has been steady and impactful for Cherokee Trail, putting up 23 and 13 points in his last two outings while extending his streak to five straight games in double figures. He’s not just scoring but he’s playing complete, all around basketball. Mitchell is getting teammates involved, making the extra pass and reading the floor with confidence. Defensively he’s setting the tone with his energy and intensity, taking on tough assignments and competing every possession. His consistency and leadership have been a major reason for Cherokee Trail’s recent success

Now that football is done, Mitchell shifts fully into basketball and steps in as a candidate to lead the entire conference in scoring. Even during football season, he dropped 50 pieces at showcases and proved that he was one of the most explosive players in the state who could score when he wanted. Mitchell is one of the best athletes in the conference as he has elite 3-point shooting, he’s a strong rebounder, and is an elite finisher. Cherokee Trail goes as he goes, and he’s ready to put on a show. He comes in as the No.3 player in the conference and could easily be No.1 with a big season. 

Mitchell is a bucket. It’s plain and simple. If you put the ball in his hands, he’s going to try and score it. He’s one of the state’s best athletes, and it doesn’t matter if he’s fresh off of football practice and walking into the gym, all eyes are on him to make a play. He’s an electric scorer who gets going from all three levels. He is a downhill attacker that dares you to jump with him, he blows by defenders for easy finishes or he can also get hot from deep. We just saw him heat up at a Fall league as well as a showcase where he put up massive numbers, and that is what I expect from him this upcoming season. He makes a jump in the rankings, and we expect plenty from him this year with Cherokee Trail. 

Mitchell comes off a strong summer spent competing with top talent and proving he can score in every way imaginable. His offensive arsenal is up there with the best. He can knock down shots from all three levels, attacks the lane with authority, and finishes above the rim. He stays engaged on every possession, and when he’s not looking for his own shot, he uses his handles and vision to create for others. At the Expo, continuing to refine his shot selection, show consistency from deep, and demonstrate his impact on the defensive end could take his already impressive game to an even higher level

On offense – his shot selection keeps him in perfect spots to score whenever he wants. He has no problem getting to the rim for easy buckets, and he’s always hustling to grab those second-chance points off missed shots. Mitchell Mitchell CO is a high motor guard who is always lurking on the offensive glass, capable of getting up just as high as many frontcourt opponents on those opportunities. Contributing a few layups off of putbacks, his motor helped keep Cherokee Trail in the game. That athleticism translated towards downhill scoring opportunities, getting past opponents with ease off of the first step. Should opponents attempt to double on the drive, he has quick instincts hitting cutters in the dunker spot when necessary. 

Mitchell Mitchell CO ‘s athletic talents have made him a notable asset for one of the state’s top programs. Adept at rising up above the defense for high flying finishes, the guard has elite touch around the basket. Repeatedly succeeding as a complementary scoring threat off the initial rip through, opposing defenses had trouble staying in front of the incoming sophomore ugard. How Mitchell Mitchell CO evolves as a facilitator will be worth following within Cherokee Trail’s context, given his quick first step to pressure the rim. 

An especially athletic guard who holds his own on either end of the floor, already an excellent defensive prospect this early on. Excellent reading the floor for cuts or carving out windows for quick mid-range attempts, Mitchell Mitchell CO continues to hold plenty of pedigree going into the fall.
