Winning games is of paramount importance to Hendricks and that admirable trait becomes evident each time you watch the hard-working point guard compete. A two-time first-team all-defensive performer for Notre Dame Academy in the Fox River Classic Conference, Hendricks played well for Team 1848 on the club circuit in the spring, showing an ability to connect from three-point range, get to the basket and set up his teammates. And on defense, he is always locked in, taking on the challenge of guarding the opponent’s top perimeter players. Hendricks helped Notre Dame to a 21-7 record by averaging 15.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 assists while also shooting 47 percent from three-point range.

Hendricks is one of the many sharpshooting guards for the 1848 squad. The prospect out of Green Bay Notre Dame, is a player you want on your team, as he does all the right things on the floor. Austin has a high basketball IQ, finding teammates running in transition and for kickouts in the half court. He tallied four assists in his early morning game due to his outstanding court vision. Hendricks is a knockdown perimeter shooter and has great feet, and a very confident/quick release. Austin can also impact the game on the defensive end with his instincts in the passing lanes and his junkyard dog mentality on the ball. Hendricks is one of the main staples returning for a talented Notre Dame team next year in the FRCC, and will be a guard to keep close tabs on the rest of this Spring and Summer.

Another standout guard from the Fox River Classic Conference, Hendricks plays with intent on both ends of the court. His defensive ability yields difficult matchups against offensive forces from the opponent, but with his size, mobility and toughness, Hendricks always makes it tough for others to score. Offensively, Hendricks is a big reason why Notre Dame has won eight of nine games and sits at 8-3 overall as he is averaging 17.8 ppg. He also contributes nearly two steals per contest and teams with his twin brother,

Hendricks is an outstanding defender who uses his size, mobility and basketball instincts to keep opponents in front of him while also making it difficult for shooters to get off good looks at the basket. A returning starter for Notre Dame, Hendricks can play either guard spot, can make three-point shots, can move the ball and can get into the lane to score. He is a solid player in virtually every aspect of the game and a guy Notre Dame coach Brian Bobinski will rely on heavily as the Tritons attempts to match or better last year’s 21-7 record.

is difficult as both players bring a lot to the table. On any given day, one is probably a bit better than the other. But both are always engaged in the game and put forth tremendous effort for their teams. Austin might not have scored at quite the level of AJ over the spring/summer, but he had more than a few big scoring outputs. His true impact, however, comes on the defensive end as he is guards like a bulldog on the perimeter. He can also run a team from the point-guard position as evidenced by the fact he averaged 1.8 apg as a sophomore in a very competitive conference.

It can be difficult at times to separate the attributes of the Hendricks twins since they are such similar players. They both compete with lots of energy and unselfishness, and both can play and guard multiple positions. Against a solid Sanford Black team out of South Dakota, Austin did a good job of handling much of the ball-handling duties for Team 1848 . He also knocked down some huge perimeter shots while finishing with 15 points and making three triples for his squad. Austin also turned in some very impressive on-ball defense for Team 1848 .
