Wanted to highlight this guy’s play as he’s been garnering a fair amount of attention lately…and for great reason. He and Grondin represent one of the better guard combos in Northern Michigan. He’s quick and shifty with the ball and can slice through a press with ease. Strong on the downhill trip and gets to the line where he shoots at a high percentage from the stripe. His defense will be tested tonight as Iron Mountain has a pretty solid backcourt as well. Jett makes a solid case for a spot on the All-UP list.

From everything that I hear, Buckley could be a player to watch up north this season. He has a nice frame that could be very tough to match up with. Buckley is a lead guard that can both score and distribute with solid court vision. He plays on a talented team, but could really shine in whatever his role is as a sophomore.

Vs OPS , he made some strong defensive plays in the opening minutes. As the game continued, he excelled at creating easy opportunities to score. Making strong off-ball cuts to free himself up. Extended his range for a corner 3 to open the second half. Turnaround midrange jumper shortly after. But the game was really played at his pace more than anythingn else. Underrated floor-general who also displayed except vision with the ball. Loved to get guys involved. Solid effort on the glass
