The App State-signee had just four points but was brilliant against Ace Bailey Ace Bailey 6'9" | SF McEachern | 2024 State #2 Nation GA , helping lock down the five-star prospect to 8-20 shooting and just 18 points after averaging 32.5 during the postseason. He did a terrific job keeping a body on Bailey away from the ball and got from double teams whenever his man caught it.

While guys like Wilkins and Harris are frequently praised by the media, Grayson would not be where they are right now without the defense of Anthony Alston Anthony Alston 6'2" | SG Grayson | 2024 State GA . He’s excelled in his role this year, heading up the defense while provided sparks on the offensive end when called upon. Alston forces a lot of turnovers which often lead to easy transition points. He’s headed to Appalachian State next year where his defense could make an immediate impact.

With as much talent as Grayson has on their roster, there are several guys capable of carrying the scoring load. It was Anthony Alston Anthony Alston 6'2" | SG Grayson | 2024 State GA ‘s turn on Saturday and he stepped up in a big way. He hit a couple of big shots in the 3rd quarter to help Grayson extend their lead and then came back in overtime and scored 4 more clutch points. Alston works well off the ball because he can be a spot-up shooter and compliments CJ Hyland CJ Hyland 6'0" | PG Grayson | 2024 State GA and Gicarri Harris Gicarri Harris 6'4" | CG Grayson | 2024 State #86 Nation GA nicely. He’s also shown the ability to put it on the floor and get to his mid-range jumper off the dribble. It’s scary to think that Alston, Hyland, & Harris will all be coming back for another year together.
