JaCori is one of the more intriguing long-term pieces in the sophomore portion of the camp because of his size, length, and skill flashes. At 6’8, he showed a growing skill set along with versatile scoring. He scored from all levels, but was at his best when he was getting into the heart of the defense by either the bounce or off the low block, and scoring over the top of smaller defenders as there was not much size in camp that could challenge him. There was a lot to like about his game as he showed face-up ability, passing feel for his size, inside scoring, and perimeter flashes. He also showed his ability to impact the game apart from the offensive end of the floor as he can block shots, rebound, and contest without fouling. As he continues to grow his game shot selection and his handle are two key focal points, and if those areas keep coming, his length and budding skill set give him a chance to become a very difficult matchup.

Thompson was one of the top performers for the Atlanta Celtics during the July live periods, scoring 14.9 and grabbing 8.2 rebounds per game during the month. A wing with length and above average athleticism, Thompson has inside/outside offensive skill with improving perimeter shot making. He is already one of the state’s top players in the 2029 class but has has plenty of upside.

Playing for one of the states top programs, Thompson looks poised to be another high level recruit for the Grayson Rams. He is a wing with length and above average athleticism that has plenty of potential. Thompson has inside/outside skill at the offensive end with an improving jump shot. He has the ability to straight line drive it from the wing and finish above the rim, along with playing with a high motor.

Thompson is a versatile combo-forward who impacts the game in multiple ways. He rebounds his area, defends with effort, and brings a diverse offensive skill set. Offensively, he’s comfortable shooting off the dribble in the mid-range and finishing through contact inside. His length paired with vertical pop allows him to play above the rim, while defensively he flashes as a weak-side eraser. Thompson scores effectively as a cutter and straight-line slasher, and as his handle continues to tighten, his overall offensive ceiling rises significantly.

Length + vertical pop. Weak-side eraser who scores as a cutter and straight-line slasher while the handle catches up.
