Indiana is full of great teams and talented players thus giving the fans incredible matchups every week. The 6'0 point guard has been really good for Avon this season averaging 21.5 point per game for them. Minnett is one of the more crafty players we have in the state and is dynamic enough to score at all levels of the floor. Super athletic at the guard spot, Minnett can be a very tough player to keep track of if you are a defender. They have one of the better front court rotations in the state with one of those guys being [player_tooltip player_id='2828525' first='Prince' last='Anga']. Anga is averaging 6.2 points and 4.3 rebounds so far this year being such a physical force down low for the Giants. He currently holds offers from DePauw, Hanover, Wabash, Franklin College, North Park University. Hiteshsew has been one of the more productive guards in that part of the state with multiple small colleges going after him. He is a skilled, quick defender that plays very hard on the floor. He has a playmaker mentality on the ball with an improving three point game that makes him very intriguing as a guard prospect. This week, Leo has Columbia City. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">3 Teams</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Terre Haute North&nbsp;(4A) –&nbsp;</strong>We have been pretty high on the Terre Haute North Patriots this season, but I think it is really time to amp up the fact that this team could get be making an appearance in the state finals this season. THN is 16-3 on the year with a current 14-game winning streak led by one of the best balanced attacks you will find out of any team. Cam Fennell, [player_tooltip player_id='2140323' first='Blake' last='Hammond'], [player_tooltip player_id='2425772' first='Tyler' last='Renn'], [player_tooltip player_id='1561104' first='Gavin' last='Woelfle'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1561105' first='Brady' last='Klopfenstein'] all are averaging 8.0+ ppg. This week, they have Bloomington North. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Heritage Hills&nbsp;(3A) –&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>There are many Class 3A teams that are making some noise in the later part of the season and on of those teams are the Heritage Hills Patriots. Having won five of their last 6 games, the Patriots are getting in their groove at the right time being led by senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1560979' first='Peyton' last='Gray'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1560951' first='Jake' last='Prior'] with 14.9 points per game. Junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2140443' first='Tait' last='Wetzel'] has also been really good for them in the front court with 13.9 points per game, as well. Heritage Hills will look to keep the momentum going when they face Forest Park on Friday. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Orleans (1A) –&nbsp;</strong>Could the Orleans Bulldogs win back-to-back state titles? Well, by the way they are playing this season that could very well happen. The Bulldogs will enter into this week 15-2 on the year having won 10-straight. Orleans is led in scoring by senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2813537' first='Alex' last='DeWitt'] with 17.0 ppg and [player_tooltip player_id='2409182' first='Nate' last='Brown'] with 11.8 ppg. Orleans has a monster matchup with Paoli this week. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">3 Matchups</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Mt. Vernon-Fortville (4A) at Pike (4A) - Feb 10th, 7:30&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On paper, I really don't think you can get a bigger game this week than this one. A game with legit multiple D1 talent on both sides, you have a matchup of the frontrunner to win Indiana Mr. Basketball and Purdue signee [player_tooltip player_id='1728587' first='Luke' last='Ertel'] vs the top prospect in the 2027 class [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] and the top prospect in the 2028 class in [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley']. That is also not including guys like [player_tooltip player_id='2140419' first='Max' last='Vise'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller'] in this one as well. I mean, this game really just writes itself how massive it is. Pike needs a big time win, but I'm going with MVF. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Blackford (2A) at Oak Hill (2A) - Feb 13th, 7:30&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Without question, this is the top matchup in all of Class 2A this week. With two legit Class 2A title contenders, Blackford will travel over to Oak Hill to see which team is just one step ahead of the other at this current time. The guy to watch here in this game is Blackford sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2539991' first='Amarian' last='Leggett'] but Oak Hill has a nice counter in [player_tooltip player_id='2266894' first='Jace' last='Tonagel']. For me, this game comes down to depth and right now, I feel that favors Oak Hill. Should be a fun one, however. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><strong><strong>PAAC CROSSOVER</strong></strong></strong>,<strong><strong> Feb 13th, 7:30&nbsp;</strong></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A sneaky good single day event is the PAAC Crossover on Friday. While all four games will be held in different locations, each game game will be a part of this tournament.
