A constant energy-giver for Terre Haute North who was one of the best teams in the state this season, Woelfle established himself as a college-level point guard. The 5’9″ playmaker can really shoot it from three-point range while also making plays for his teammates consistently. Woelfle averaged 10.0 points and 4.2 assists per game and shot 47-111 (42.3%) from three-point range.

The nonstop energy and effort that Woelfle brings to the floor helped jump start Terre Haute North’s second half comeback against Columbus North. This 5’9″ senior point guard started raining in three-point shots in the third quarter as the Patriots turned a seven-point deficit into a one-point advantage. He would go on to finish with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists in Terre Haute North’s 62-54 win. Woelfle hit five three-point shots in the game. The Patriots have now won 22 straight games.

Woelfle continues to have an excellent season for Terre Haute North. He is one of four players that averages in double figures and leads the team in assists at just shy of five per game. On Thursday night he stepped up and scored a team-high 17 points as the Patriots picked up their biggest win of the season. They knocked off Plainfield 62-55 to win their 13th straight and move to 15-3 on the season.

Woelfle is no stranger to production. Whether it is in previous seasons on very good Terre Haute North teams or on the AAU circuit with the Indiana Jammers Woelfle is always finding a way to contribute to winning. However, Friday was still as good as we have seen the unsigned senior guard play. He finished with 20 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals to help lead the Patriots to a 75-52 victory over Cloverdale. Look for his small college recruitment to continue to pick up throughout the winter.

With so much talent on this Terre Haute North High School team it is easy for a guy or two to fly a bit under-the-radar. Woelfle was the second leading scorer on a 21-6 Regional Championship team last season averaging 10.2 points and a team-leading 3.4 assists. The 5’10” guard is a good perimeter shooter, but is at his best as a driver and playmaker for others. His non-stop motor and communication on the floor are intangibles that translate well to the next level.

Energy and motor are two words that immediately come to mind when watching Woelfle. The 5’9″ point guard does a great job of running the team, whether that be Terre Haute North High School or the Indiana Jammers on the UA Rise Circuit, and consistently proved himself to be a winner. He averaged 10.2 points and 3.4 assists per game as a junior and made 36 three-point shots.
