Fennell, an unsigned senior guard, scored a team-leading 18 points for Terre Haute North as they escaped with a 58-57 overtime win over Evansville North. His ability to stretch the floor out beyond the arc, while also having enough athletic pop to score from the mid-range or at the rim, makes him a very intriguing scorer for the next level. It will be interesting to see where he ends up in the coming months.

Playing next to the 6’6″ Klopfenstein who is one of the best shooters in the state can make it easy to forget just how accurate Fennell is from beyond the arc. The 6’3″ guard has good positional size in his own right and shot 49-127 (38.6%) from three-point range as a junior for a very balanced Terre Haute North High School offense. Fennell shot the ball very well recently at the IBCA Top 100 Showcase.

Fennell stood out on Friday in some stretches with his perimeter shot-making. Small college programs like his positional size on the perimeter paired with his high percentage shooting. Coming from a winning program at Terre Haute North High School there are definitely a lot of reasons to like this rising senior prospect.

After a strong sophomore campaign for a very good Terre Haute North team, Fennell is one to watch for to up his production further this season. The 6’3″ guard is a very good jump shooter and has the size to finish around the basket at the end of his drives. He has continued to play well at the Metro Indy Fall League and is now flirting with the Top 100. There are so many guys in the 70-150 range really that could go in about in order.

is one with varsity experience already under his belt. The 6’3″ guard played very well on Sunday at The Expo scoring in a variety of different ways. He had a tough And-1 finish on a spin move, another athletic drive to the basket, and then knocked in a three-point shot in his second 5-on-5 game. Fennell is a very versatile offensive player with a well-rounded skill set.

Terre Haute North was heavily reliant on seniors last season on their way to winning 22 games, which included 19 in a row before losing in the Sectional. However, alongside a group of talented veterans, Fennell was the Patriots third leading scorer as a sophomore averaging 8.9 points per game. He is a knock down shooter from beyond the arc making 41 three-point shots at a 38% clip. Look for Fennell to emerge into a larger role this coming season as a junior.
