Over the winter and spring what players put themselves on the map and are now 2027 prospects you should know? We give you a quality list of names now!

[player_tooltip player_id='2877064' first='Carter' last='Brown'] of Duluth Denfeld/[program_tooltip program_id='2078859' first='Starks' last='Elite'] (6'5 SF). Carter's length and agility at a wing/forward spot earned increasingly strong winter performances and with it came stat lines and videos to my various inboxes. Helping his team to state, Carter averaged 13.4 points, nine rebounds and 1.3 blocks a game. Brown was a 45 percent shooter this year from his wing spot making nearly 69 percent of his foul shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2357544' first='Cole' last='Davis'] of Maple River/Minnesota Sting (6'1 SG). Davis made a really strong first impression at the Sophomore Expo last fall and has taken off from there. Cole earned South Central Conference Underclassmen Player of the Year this winter as he led the league in scoring at over 20 points a game! Davis made 50 percent of his threes in league play on his way to first team all conference honors. And this was no 5 of 10 performance, this was 55 of 110 threes made in ten games! Davis has continued that hot shooting playing with the Sting. He had 65 points total in the recent four games for the Sting in the Hard Work Finals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2574749' first='Gideon' last='Horne'] of Hope Academy/[program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] (6'4 SF). Gideon was one of the Expo MVPs last fall making a massive first impression putting future opponents on notice followed by AAU team falling over themselves to try and land him. This winter Horne averaged 20 points and 12 rebounds a game helping this team to an impressive 17 wins! Horne has been the [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] heavy activity player that does all the work scoring off ball, defending, and rebounding.

[player_tooltip player_id='2842020' first='Xaviahn' last='Ivey'] of Wayzata/Hoop Habits (6'0 PG). Game one of last season Ivey was on the court against Wayzata in overtime taking a big shot. He was the first sophomore name of the high school season committed to memory as he was trusted to be a part of one of the deepest line-ups in the state. Ivey scored six a game this year for [program_tooltip program_id='2075965' first='Trojans' last=''] while also handling the ball at lead guard off the bench and drawing some very important defensive roles all season. Ivey has stepped into an even bigger role helping a Hoop Habits team that's only lost a couple games. The defense and handling is still there, but he's been able to be a consistent scorer for them as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375788' first='William' last='Thiemann'] of Triton/[program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] (6'7 PF). Thiemann's solid numbers in the Expo last fall led us to take quick note of his potential with solid agility and skill at his size entering his sophomore year. William was third team All Gopher Conference this year and the second leading scorer for the Cobras.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436914' first='Kellen' last='Troup'] of Minnehaha Academy/[program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] (6'8 PF). The last listed I saw from Kellen was 6'7 but I just figured he's grown another inch since then so I listed him at 6'8. When he was playing at the Prep Hoops event earlier this spring has size and agility instantly made me think top 25 level prospect. Kellen averaged 10 points, seven rebounds and a block a game for the 20 win Redhawks shooting 38.5 percent on the five threes he took a game while also shooting 70 percent at the foul line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2877054' first='Asher' last='Wieberdink'] of Central MN Christian (6'7 PF). We knew he was a 6'4 all conference level player but when an early winter video hit the inbox of Asher putting up double double numbers as a 6'7 sophomore the name was committed to memory instantly. An all conference and all area player, Asher averaged 18 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks a game. Asher is a key player for the Southwest Minnesota Stars 16 and Under team.
