Who were some of the other bigs that stood out at the Sophomore Showcase? We run you through some of those prospects today!

[player_tooltip player_id='2392217' first='David' last='Addai'] of St. Paul Johnson. The 6'6 forward is very young for his grade which is important to note. If you stick this young man in the Freshman event, you really take a step back and think about what his potential is because I think he would be the name of that event (or at least one of the best couple). David has very good length which I thought he used well defensively and he gets up and down the floor quite well. He is still raw but when you consider his age, I think David has a chance to be a solid or very good prospect, maybe excellent. The good thing is the future is bright and we will really know as he continues to gain experience, how bright that future is. Whatever the case David should really help the Governors this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2832193' first='Erik' last='Bakke'] of Blaine. This is a very interesting young player. Erik is about 6'10 and very long. You immediately notice him because he is several inches bigger and he does run pretty well for his size. Laterally I think he can be taught how to move laterally and be pretty good there too. We saw him dunk a couple times, we saw Erik get back and smash a shot off the glass. He needs time, Erik needs coaching but the potential is there for Erik to be a unique player. As he is allowed to learn from mistakes and get better when learning from them, good things can come to Bakke.

[player_tooltip player_id='2835388' first='Kenny' last='Brown'] of Tartan. The Titans have a ton of talent. The guards with Pride and Wilson, the wings/forwards of King, Goregen and Emmanuel, and with the young talent up front now of Dayee and [player_tooltip player_id='2835388' first='Kenny' last='Brown'], I really like this rotation even though its a mix of seniors and young players. How does Brown fit? He is every bit of 6'7, he is long and agile, Kenny has a great coach at Tartan to teach him, and I think Brown's potential is quite high. Looked comfortable facing up and attacking with agility at his size, used his length to finish, runs well and has some pop to him. The potential is there for Brown to be one of the better frontcourt prospects in his class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2561052' first='Chase' last='Maetzold'] of Chaska. I really think that Chase is going to be a big piece for the Hawks this winter. They have a really good lead guard in Forrest, they have two good 6'3 wings/forwards returning, and now they have a stretch four that can join those other three returning players with the potential for double figures. The Hawks can spread you out and score and based on watching Chase use the touch at the arc and in different ways off the block this weekend, I think he's going to be an excellent piece.

[player_tooltip player_id='2380924' first='Jesse' last='Riziq'] of Totino-Grace. This 6'8, 180 pound frontcourt player showed more signs this weekend of what can be someday. Not many guys with length at 6'8 run as well as Jesse does and you saw him get hands on balls in terms of deflections off the ball screen, blocking shots in help or with his fellow Big. We saw Jesse catch and finish shots touched in after moving in the offense. He scored a couple times getting up the floor. TG doesn't need Jesse yet so he will have more time to develop on junior varsity but there is potential here.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560448' first='Cooper' last='Schnichels'] of Willmar. These events can sometimes get dominated by the guards in a way that size has to figure out where they fit. Once Cooper realized..... run the floor, get putbacks, move off the ball, move off the screen, those things can lead to success. I watched Cooper score 13 points and eight boards using his 6'6 size and strength play well and I think if this is what Cooper does game to game, he could have a great sophomore year.
