There weren't many players better during the 3v3 portion of camp than [player_tooltip player_id='2915436' first='Lavell' last='Cade']. Don't let his size fool you, Lavell is fearless attacking the basket, and was often coming up with two points going right at the rim against bigger players. He's incredibly shifty on the ball, and has an endless bag of tricks that allows him to consistently beat his man off the dribble. Good instincts to play off two feet and either pivot or utilize shot fakes to create angles to finish over taller defenders. One of the shiftiest guards in Minnesota's 2028 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560433' first='Braxdyn' last='Male'] was another player who stood out during the 3v3 portion of the event. He was simply outworking other guys on the floor, and it showed particularly with his efforts on the glass. If there was a long rebound to be grabbed, Braxdyn was going to be the first player to chase it down. Offensively he showed a quick first step to beat defenders to the rim with a straight-line drive, and once there he's a crafty finisher who can score from a number of angles. Hard worker on the defensive end who doesn't mind going out and competing against an opposing team's best player.

Meech looks like a prime candidate to fill in for some of the lost production at BSM with the graduation of their loaded 2025 class. You could see it in flashes when he got the occasional varsity minutes as a freshman, but on Saturday his quickness on the ball was put on full display. Against most other players in his class, Meech simply has a different gear he can shift into. Meech started off the game I watched by draining a pair of pull-up threes, and from there defenders were forced to guard him tight beyond the arc. Williams took full advantage as he was able to get into the lane consistently, either creating good looks for his teammates or getting all the way to the rim to finish.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560524' first='Quin' last='Jahnke'] is a pure shooter. I had the chance to watch him play in the 3v3 and 5v5 settings, and in both games he was making defender pay for letting him catch in space. He still looks to be growing into his frame, and is now listed at 6' heading into his sophomore year. When he wasn't putting three points on the board, Quin did a nice job of keeping the ball moving out on the perimeter, as he wouldn't over dribble or let the ball stick in his hands.

Last year Tre was one of the best all-around players at the Freshman Showcase, and this year at the Sophomore ID Camp it was more of the same. He's just too fast for most defenders to contain once he gets going downhill. Possession after possession Tre came flying down the lane and showcased impressive body control to finish with either hand going full speed to the rim. Even at the pace he plays at, Tre keeps his eyes scanning the floor, and is able to deliver accurate passes from a number of angles on the move. The type of point guard who showed he can take a game over as a scorer or facilitator.

Willie is one of the toughest on-ball defenders in the class, and he put that defensive ability on display on Saturday. It didn't matter what spot on the floor he was guarding, he was going to make every possession difficult for his matchup. There were times he defender players half a foot taller than him, and Willie did a great job of absorbing contact through his chest and standing his ground to force difficult shots around the rim. Out on the perimeter he's a pest on the ball, with the lateral quickness and effort needed to constantly cut guys off and make them change direction.

I only got to see Max during the 3v3 games, but he continues to look like a player with a lot of promise moving forward at East Ridge. Physically he possesses a solid 6'3 frame that already helps give him an edge over most other guards, and he moves well at that size. His length helped him cover a lot of ground defensively, and he came away with a pair of blocks in the game I watched. Confident shooter with a smooth stroke from three or mid-range. Never looks sped up and has no problem passing up a solid look to get an even better shot for one of his teammates.
