Ulmer continues to elevate his game and proved it again with an impressive showing at the tournament. He does a little bit of everything on the floor, impacting both ends with his versatility. Offensively he’s a confident scorer who can stretch the defense with his three point shooting while also attacking off the bounce and finishing strong at the rim. He plays with control, picking his spots and making smart decisions with the ball. Defensively he stood out with active hands, generating steals and locking in with tough man to man coverage. With his all around skill set and continued growth, Ulmer is trending toward a big summer

has transcended his scoring from tacking on just 10 PPG his freshman year to an astounding near 18 PPG his sophomore season. Ulmer is seeing new career highs across the board, making night and day changes to his rebounding and assist totals. The 6’3 all-star has handles on a string and impressive court vision that he implements to lead Fountain-Fort Carson with confidence. His gargantuan improvement marks a significant difference in the way he approaches the game. Ulmer is heading into the summer with a new wave of swagger, and I’d expect him to take on even bigger roles during the second half of his high school tenure.

Ulmer is proving that his freshman season was just the beginning at Fountain Fort Carson, taking another leap with an outstanding start this year. Averaging 18.5 points and 6.2 rebounds, he’s in constant attack mode and has a natural feel for putting the ball in the basket. He keeps defenses on their heels with his ability to score in the mid and short game, and he’s also showing a confident, improved touch from deep. Ulmer’s scoring instincts, aggression and growth make him one of the most dangerous offensive players in the league right now

Ulmer is another player that has made a huge leap in the rankings because of the work that he put in over the summer. Thing is, he was a player that we were high on heading into the summer as he had a solid freshman season, but did not have the overall team success to determine if it was a good player on a bad team or not. We also wanted to see him against other top players in the state. Well, he answered those questions all summer long as he came to EVERYTHING with a point to prove. He dominated in grassroots with Hoops Therapy as their best player and came to showcases and was one of the best players there amongst the best in the class. There’s high expectations for him this season but he’s proved that he belongs. He moves into the Top-10.

Ulmer was dominant and left no doubt about his standing as a top prospect in the class. With an elite handle, he created at will, attacked the rim, and buried shots from deep. He’s a bucket. His blend of size, creativity, and skill made him unstoppable, and that was on display throughout the day. Already well-regarded with a big summer showing from him, Ulmer’s breakout showing at the showcase vaulted him into Top 15 territory and earned him MVP honors on the day.

What we know:
What we know is that Ulmer was one of the best scoring freshmen in the state a season ago. He is a good-sized guard who attacks off the dribble but also can play off-ball and put points up from deep as well. Ulmer seems to score with ease and has a very mature game that will only get better. This will be a big season for him as he tries to get some wins on the board for his team, but we like what we saw from him over the summer as well.
What we’d like to see:
I’m thrilled that Jordan Jordan Jones | 2026 CO is heading down to the showcase. Jordan Jordan Jones | 2026 CO will be one of the best scorers in the Springs this season and is a player that I don’t think the class knows much about, but it’s been great to see him come down and compete with players from across the state to put them on notice. I’d like to see Ulmer continue his scoring barrage, but also to back that up with playmaking. I want to see how he looks alongside other top players in the state and see if he’s able to keep up that production when he’s not the focal point of the offense with everything going through him. I also want to see what kind of competitor he is. He comes in outside of the Top-20 players in the class in the last update, but with a big showing at the event, that certainly changes. This is a big opportunity for him to rise.

Ulmer might be one of the most showcase-ready players in the class. Coming out of the Springs, he doesn’t get to see this many highly-ranked players often, but he feels he belongs with them. He’s a pure bucket-getter who thrives in competitive settings. We want to see him match up, make noise, and force his way into higher rankings conversation. With the right performance here, Ulmer could be one of the class’s big risers.

Ulmer backed up the highlights with real production and was a player that I wanted to see in person. He’s a poised and polished guard who handled pressure, scored through doubles, and made the right reads once they came. He knocked down shots from deep, created space in isolation, and found ways to win. Hoop Therapy had multiple one-point games, and Ulmer’s fingerprints were all over each of them. This was a statement weekend, and he looks ready to take a leap this upcoming season. Hoop Therapy was one of my favorite young teams to watch this weekend.and Ulmer was a big reason why.

There’s no way but up for Fountain Fort-Carson after a horrid 2024-25 season. They did not win much and was even worse in league but what they did happen to find was who their best player was in freshman Jordan Jordan Jones | 2026 CO Ulmer. Jordan Jordan Jones | 2026 CO led the team in scoring at 10.0 points a game and was tasked with a difficult job of leading the team in his first high school season. In season 2, it will be about that play turning into wins as he is a score-first guard that will have to make others around him better. It should be a younger group with plenty of teammates graduating and that means Jordan Jordan Jones | 2026 CO will have to key in on other parts of his game. He finished off the year on a strong note and I expect him to elevate his game as a guard to watch down South.
