Mansfield vs Bossier (9 AM)

Mansfield

[player_tooltip player_id='2302363' first='Sharmal' last='Booker'] has been a player who has grown a couple of inches and his game has grown too. He is very good shooting from deep and can break players down with the dribble. [player_tooltip player_id='2302359' first='Bryson' last='Ebarb'] is his back court mate and is good at facilitating and dialing from distance.

Bossier

[player_tooltip player_id='2466399' first='Justin' last='Slaid'] has taken on the point guard duties and has done a good job. He is good at getting in the paint and scoring at the rim or finding shooters. [player_tooltip player_id='2466402' first='Antonio' last='Ambler-Barr'] is the latest forward in the Bossier offense who can score multiple ways. He is very talented and has a huge upside.

Richwood vs Huntington (10 AM)

Richwood

[player_tooltip player_id='1394528' first='Travon' last='Varner'] is a multiple level scorer who has transferred this summer to Richwood. His ability to handle and defend is a big asset. [player_tooltip player_id='1967568' first='Lavell' last='Lane'] can rebound, defend, and shoot from deep. He will be a tough cover for any team playing against the Rams.

Huntington

[player_tooltip player_id='1686289' first='Peyton' last='Parker'] has really had a good summer. He can stretch the floor as well as make the mid-range pull up regularly. [player_tooltip player_id='1679406' first='Antonio' last='Dixon'] is a wiry, athletic scorer who can also defend the rim. He is also very good in transition. If he catches a defender slipping, they may get dunked on.

Calvary Baptist vs Ringgold (11 AM)

Calvary Baptist

[player_tooltip player_id='2316989' first='Tyrone' last='Jamison'] is attending the Nike Top 100 and might not be in attendance. [player_tooltip player_id='2132749' first='Jaiden' last='Hall'] should be in the back court and his presence has been a good one. He can play the 1 and the 2 and is a three level scorer. [player_tooltip player_id='1967571' first='Gmarrion' last='Scott'] is a rim rattling finisher. He should make a big impact on the glass.

Ringgold

[player_tooltip player_id='2313820' first='Jordyn' last='Wilson'] is one of the best sophomores in north Louisiana. His ability to score and to control an offense is something to see. Keenan Johnson is very good with the ball in his hands. He is a great facilitator and knows how to get the ball to the right people in transition.

Red River vs C.E. Byrd (12 PM)

Red River

[player_tooltip player_id='2401995' first='Jomello' last='McDonald'] may be the breakout senior this coming season. He can score on all levels and defend as many as four positions. His fellow front court mate [player_tooltip player_id='2459986' first='Christopher' last='Gay'] is a high flyer. He is a monster in transition and he can protect the rim like no other. They are a dynamic duo.

C.E. Byrd

Peyton Schnoonover is the best athlete on the team. He can score by attacking the rim or shooting from deep. Defenses really have a tough time with him because of his versatility. Davin Murff has played well this summer. His ability to knock down the three helps stretch the floor.

Captain Shreve vs Tioga (1 PM)

Captain Shreve

[player_tooltip player_id='1680509' first='E'Jayden' last='McDonald'] is the best on ball defender I have seen this summer. He has created havoc for any guard he has defended. [player_tooltip player_id='1561807' first='Marcus' last='Lofton'] is one of the top point guards in the 2025 class. Not only is he a facilitator, he is a big shot taker. Lofton definitely embraces last shot pressure.

Tioga

If Kervin Johnson plays and is not playing 7 on 7, he will be a big difference maker. He can score from multiple levels and is a freakish athlete. Point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2471549' first='Kaydhn' last='Hardie'] is one of the better soon-to-be sophomores in the state. His ball-handling skills and three point shot make a big impact.

Northwest vs Evangel Christian (2 PM)

Northwest

Courtlon Young is an outstanding point guard who can change a game by shooting the three. He may just be the best shooter in the state. [player_tooltip player_id='2421287' first='Markez' last='Davis'] is a top 5 player in the 2027 class. He is a do-it-all guard who can change the game in multiple ways. They are one of the top duos in the Boot.

Evangel

[player_tooltip player_id='1347260' first='Chris' last='Shiflett'] is one of the top guards regardless of class. His vision and shooting set him apart from other guards in Louisiana. His teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1600639' first='TJ' last='Grider'] is hard to stop in the post. He is a load in the paint and can score on anyone. One of the top inside-outside duos in the state.

Wossman vs Woodlawn (Shreveport) (3 PM)

Two sport stars dominate on both teams here. Back court mates [player_tooltip player_id='1285330' first='Antron' last='Mason II'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1330583' first='Zion' last='Weeks'] were part of the Wossman squad who won the Summer championship last summer. They turned that into a state championship. [player_tooltip player_id='1347467' first='Brandon' last='Henderson'], for the Knights, is one of the top guards in Louisiana. All of them are veterans who know how to get downhill and are aggressively defensively. This should be an intriguing match up.

Zachary vs Lincoln Prep (4 PM)

Zachary

Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1347180' first='Xavier' last='Ferguson'] is a bonafide two way player who is also a top 10 player in his class. He can score at all levels and defend all perimeter positions. Junior Kristion Brooks is a live body who can rebound, run the floor, and score from outside. They lead an experienced Zachary crew.

Lincoln Prep

[player_tooltip player_id='1543654' first='Joseph' last='Spann'] is a guard who is on the rise. He can defend multiple positions and score from the inside and outside. Joseph is a difference maker on the floor. Devin Burton is Lincoln Prep's best post presence. His ability to defend the inside players of the Broncos will be crucial in this contest.

First round games will be all day June 29th and the semifinals and finals will be June 30th. These are well-balanced match-ups. We should have a good weekend of basketball in north Louisiana.
