Donald Tatum | Prep Hoops Scout
G has walked the steady path of improvement and has locked in on the things that a lof of coaches look for at the next level. G is a high energy, High IQ player that wins with effort and energy. He is not going to spend a lot of time with the ball in his hands, but he will move to open spaces, rebound, rim run and defend. He does each of these at a high level, and his athleticism accentuate each one of them. He is a selfless player with a great on court demeanor that always looks elite, in any gym.

Scott used his long frame and verticality to be a formidable interior defender, consistently walling up and challenging shots without leaving his feet prematurely. His timing and positioning allowed him to protect the rim while remaining vertical, avoiding unnecessary fouls. As a rebounder, he extended fully with both arms and attacked the ball at its highest point, often securing boards in traffic. His presence alone altered shots and discouraged interior attempts—an invaluable trait in rim protection schemes.

Scott is a long and athletic wing player who excels at blocking shots and disrupting opponents’ attempts at the rim with his incredible reach and timing. As a dynamic and creative finisher, he is a relentless rim runner always looking to make an explosive and thunderous finish. Unfazed by the size and presence of towering defenders, he continually challenged a formidable 6’10” opponent, showcasing his fearless and combative nature.
Scott’s relentless aggression and electrifying play make him an exciting and captivating player to watch, undoubtedly turning him into a nightmare to scout for opposing coaches. Moreover, his ball-handling skills have noticeably improved since last season, adding another layer to his versatile and impressive game. His game is predicated on his athleticism and the guy just likes to get out and run. His half-court presence shows up on defense, but when the game is moving, opposing players have to watch out. He will put you on a poster.

played extremely well, as he helped his team go 3-1 during the weekend. He did a little bit of everything. Standing at 6’5, this helped him make an impact on the inside. Utilizing this, he scored inside time and time again, both with putbacks off of his offensive rebounds and getting good positioning. He rebounded the ball well and made an impact on defense. His impact on defense consisted of him having a couple of steal, multiple blocks, and playing good interior defense. There was one play that he got a steal and threw a good bounce pass for an assist. It was a great weekend for him, as this brief game log is an outline for what he was doing on a regular basis.
