About Daniel

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Club Team: District Basketball Club My gameplay style is flexible to outmatch the competition. My preferred play style is high paced, heavy backcourt pressure defense. Forcing turnovers for easy layups. Offensively I'm 40% from three, I attack and pull up in the mid-range but most of my scoring is done at the rim finishing through contact. I can guard 1-4 or 5 if needed.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I take the game one play at a time, focusing on making good reads and looking for the best play not just a good one. I rebound, defend, and encourage my teammates. I use my experience to help make my teammates better. I take winning seriously and will do everything I can to take home the W.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. I am a part of the Black Student Union and a member of Guide Right/Kappa League - a leadership development program the focuses on getting us ready for college. I achieved the honor roll every quarter and I was awarded Student of the Month at the end of the 2025 school year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through the game of basketball I have learned a lot. I think perseverance has been the most important skill I have gained. In my sophomore year I made a leap in team responsibility. I learned a lot about leadership from older guys on the team and also the coaches.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am interested in a school that will prepare me for the next step in academics and basketball. I would like there to be a good positive school and team culture. I am looking for the right FIT. That can be D I, II, III, or NAIA.

Another District Basketball Club guard that had an outstanding weekend at Hoop Group. Daniel was making plays left and right for the team, leading to wins all weekend. He was impressive defensively with the amount of offensive plays he broke up alone. Him and Chase were a problem defensively all weekend in the backcourt, creating suffocating double-teams and collecting steals all over the floor. Along with the defense, Daniel followed up with some nice scoring games on the other end. Strong with the ball inside, unafraid of the contact and pressure at the rim. Takes the ball strong off two feet and finished layups with control and concentration.
