-One of the smoothest play-making point guards in the area that gets to his spots quickly and decisively in the halfcourt. Lee overcame a slow 1H by getting to the free throw line to get his jumper heated up then proceeded to knock down shots from all 3 levels off the dribble. Lee’s teammates missed a few open looks that he created for them but he continued to find them off the dribble and utilized pass-fakes off the catch to instead bury a shot of his own on a few occasions. Lee has an argument for best guard in MIAA’s B Conference as he enters a senior year looking to avenge a title loss from this past season.

Lee was one of the most impressive perimeter prospects we evaluated this weekend. The combo guard, who earned First Team All-County honors for the Admirals after averaging more than 17 points per game this season, continued his strong scoring play with Mid Atlantic Select . A skilled offensive guard, Lee can score at all three levels and consistently uses ball screens effectively to create advantages. He displayed multiple tough drives and finishes in the lane, showing his ability to navigate traffic and score through contact. Extremely shifty with the basketball, Lee is difficult for defenders to keep out of the paint and finished with 13 points in a win over Team White Mamba.

Harvey and Lee are the ones that make things go for this Admirals group and they play off each other in a complementary fashion. Lee has a big more wiggle and twitch with the ball to get into the paint or maneuver his way to the cup for crafty finishes. He’s also quick from end-to-end with the ball in his hands and on a few occasions, pushed it himself in transition and finished the job going coast-to-coast. He connected on one shot from deep, but depends on his quickness to play 15-feet and in where he can use soft touch on floaters if the big rotates to contest. He tied Harvey’s 19 for the game as both combined for 38 of the team’s 53 points.

-The dynamic combo guard will be a huge part of what Severn does this year as a dynamic ballhandler that navigates ball screens extremely well at both ends of the floor. Lee is comfortable running the point and has the vision/passing needed to be successful at the point but can also hit shots to stretch the floor as an off-ball guard as well. An advanced handle allows him to get to his spots in a hurry off the boun

-Lee is a quick guard with a ton of perimeter wiggle with the ball in his hands. He doesn’t need a ball screen to get to his spots and does a good job of scanning the floor pre-catch to get downhill in a hurry based off the closeouts that he faces. Love his burst and ability to make plays for others and score from all 3 levels.

What I noticed first is DJ defending at a very high level. Picking up ball switches, causing loose balls, and cutting off ball handlers, forcing many steals and deflections. Off his defense, Lee started to get his offense flowing. Started with some fastbreak layups off his steals, then mixed in some three-pointers as the game reached the later stages. DJ was a defensive menace all game long and he and his team reaped the benefits.
