Cobb really impressed with his play for Denver South and showed why he can be such an important piece for their success. He consistently established strong position on the block, making himself available as a scoring option and creating problems for defenders with his physicality and footwork. His ability to play with his back to the basket allowed him to control possessions and generate quality looks around the rim. Defensively he brought toughness and energy in the paint, contesting shots and battling for rebounds. What stood out most was how well he ran the floor in transition, using his basketball IQ and athleticism to create advantages. Whether finishing plays or setting up teammates, Cobb helped generate valuable scoring opportunities throughout the game

He’s a quick leaper who goes right up, he probes the paint and finds holes in the defense for dunks, and he’s an aerial attack as well as guards throw it up and trust that he’s going to come down with it. Those plays have given him a buzz all summer, and he came into the camp and had a few of those plays. Cobb is grabbing boards and pushing the break, he’s trying to get to the paint and finish at the basket, and forces other bigs to foul him. We want to see more aggression from him with him being so versatile, but he’s going to be a player who has some big games this year, with South having to dump it off to him. Big season ahead for him, and he’s continuing to turn heads this summer. 

Cobb showed all season why he’s one of the more dynamic players in his class. His ability to play above the rim made him a constant threat, while his strong paint presence allowed him to impact both ends of the floor. Defensively he brought toughness and physicality, matching up inside and making life difficult for opponents. He was just as versatile, scoring out of the post and stepping out to knock down the three. That combination makes him tough to guard. With his skill set and continued growth, expect Cobb to carry momentum into the summer and take another leap

Cobb delivered a dominant performance, especially in the paint where he controlled the action on both ends. Defensively he anchored the middle with two emphatic blocks and altered several more shots thanks to his length and relentless work down low. Offensively he battled for position, sealed defenders deep in the post, and finished strong around the rim. His physical presence and effort paid off as he powered his way to 13 hard earned points

Cobb caught fire in February and closed the regular season with his best performance yet, a sign he’s peaking at the perfect time. He’s been far more assertive offensively, hunting his shot with confidence and taking quality looks within the flow of the game. That added scoring punch complements what he already brings every night his relentless defense, strong rebounding and nonstop competitiveness. Cobb thrives against top competition, elevating his intensity when the stage gets bigger. If that trend continues, his edge and production could be exactly the spark Denver South needs for a deep tournament run

The 6’6 forward from Denver South knows how to be physical in the paint and never shies away from contact—averaging 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists a game. Cobb is a lethal hooper who excels in numerous areas and provides Denver South with a huge spark of energy.

With Cobb, he’s capable of having a game-changing play at any moment. He’s South’s man in the middle, and he not only protects the paint but secures the board and gets out in transition for fast break dunks. When he hits the corner and makes up his mind to attack, it’s showtime as he truly attempts to dunk THROUGH opponents. Cobb gets to the FT line with his relentless motor and his ability to grab boards and get to the rim. He’s also expanding his game for a few 3-pointers, and that opens up South’s offense. We’ve liked what we’ve seen from Cobb to begin the season, but if South wants to turn things around, they will need more from him. I expect him to pop this season and for him to get it right. 

Cobb is a vertical jumper with elite athleticism. He dunks off of two feet and is an explosive leaper. It is hard to write about him without mentioning his athleticism, as he is one of the best athletes in the state. He is in excellent shape, runs the floor, and finishes over or through defenders. It was great to see him in his age group as it separated him even more. Opponents could not keep up with him; he gives high effort and finishes well around the basket, and is only continuing to improve. Coaches need to get him on their radar early. 

Cobb continues to impress with his explosive athleticism and two-way production. He finishes above the rim with authority, rebounds at a high level, and runs the floor well. That led to countless dunks at the event. He’s also a capable shooter from three. He also initiates offense and makes unselfish plays, and that is rare from a player who was scoring with ease throughout the weekend. His motor, leadership, and physicality stood out as he defended, scored in transition, and made winning plays all weekend long. Cobb looks ready to lead and will be a player that turns plenty of heads this weekend. Stellar weekend from the 6’6 promising forward.
