Several stars have started to commit and more will be coming soon. Let’s take a look at the top 10 in the class in the latest rankings update for the 2024 class.
Still on top, Travis hasn’t moved from the number one spot in the class since the rankings started. Unlikely to drop from the top spot, Perry is an elite shooter and scorer who is likely to commit to a Big Ten school in the not too distant future.
Highlights
Except for a short time when he was battling injuries, Noah has been the second prospect in the class for most of the time they’ve been ranked. Holding over 25 D1 offers, Trent is a big time shooter and scorer who has become much more athletic over the last 18 months or so.
Highlights
Brett had a quiet summer of AAU but he committed to Liberty very early and didn’t have anything left to prove. One of the best shooters in Kentucky regardless of class, it will be interesting to see if Decker plays more on or off the ball at the college level.
Highlights
Keeping with the trend of big time shooters in the 2024 class, Unseld played with MOKAN at Peach Jam and didn’t attempt a two point shot the last time I saw stats. More importantly, Kade made 50% of his three pointers while his team made the run to the Final 4 of the Peach Jam.
The latest commitment in the class, Ayden has a ton of potential and is a candidate to move to Power 5 via the portal after a year or two at Ohio. In the short term, Evans continues to show flashes of being a dominant big at times and will only get better as he matures and adds bulk.
Ritter is the inverse of Evans in a lot of ways. Mason plays super hard and goes all out, maximizing his athleticism and skill set. A high academic prospect in addition to holding 5+ D1 offers, Mason could be an all league player in college as his game continues to get more well rounded.
One of the biggest risers in this update, Williams comes off a big AAU season that came after a breakout Junior season at Butler. Dayton had a career high 45 points this past Sunday, including hitting 8 threes. Dayton is still only 16 years old and could be a candidate for a post grad year or a college to take him and redshirt him.
House is still one of the most consistently under-recruited players in Kentucky in my opinion. Yes he has a D1 offer from Jacksonville State but Quel’ron is one of the best players I’ve seen at getting paint touches on offense. He’s also a killer in the midrange with his pull up jumper.
Highlights
Damone has been one of the top point guards in Louisville for his entire high school career. A shifty ball handler with a good first step and an above average defender, King has the ability to run an offense or create his own shot. Holding several D1 offers already, Damone will be an impact player for DeSales this season after transferring from Manual.
