Evans had a really good career and his best basketball is all ahead of him at Ohio University. A really good rim protector whose offensive game keeps growing, Ayden should have a big college career.

Ayden has come a long way towards reaching his potential but his best basketball is all still ahead of him. Committed to Ohio, Evans will push Decker for the 5th region MVP award. A high level rim protector whose offense continues improving, We may look back at this ranking in 5 years and realize that Evans was the best player in 2024.

Already off the board to Ohio, Ayden is a talented big at 6’9″ and is going to get better at the next level. Evans was a difference maker for E-town last season and will look to get them back to Rupp Arena in his Senior season.

The latest commitment in the class, Ayden has a ton of potential and is a candidate to move to Power 5 via the portal after a year or two at Ohio. In the short term, Evans continues to show flashes of being a dominant big at times and will only get better as he matures and adds bulk.

Thursday was the best game I’ve ever seen Evans play, especially in the first half. He was assertive in the paint scoring off rolls to the paint, one dribble finishes, dunker spot shots and putbacks. With his size and athleticism, he has the ability to score often in the paint and on Thursday he was doing just that against an undersized frontcourt. His most impressive move of the game was a lefty hook shot over his right shoulder. If Evans can consistently bring this level of focus and production on the offensive end, he’ll start to regain his stock that made him a quite intriguing prospect earlier in his high school career.

Evans could go from good to great this summer. Although he is on many college teams radar at the moment, he likely will attract more if he performs on the circuit. Being one of the most versatile bigs in the country, it makes him a mismatch nightmare at the high school level. The combination of another summer of development and game reps against the best of the bets, leads me to believe he will be a top 5 player in the state next season.
