Cochran came back from a devastating ankle injury he suffered in April and had a strong Senior season at Adair. A big wing, Isaiah is skilled and has a solid basketball IQ and should be a late signing period steal, unless he commits to prep and reclassify to 2026.

Cochran missed several months after a gnarly ankle injury that ended his AAU season and made him miss all summer and fall. Now back from injury, Isaiah could be a huge stock booster with a big Senior season.

I’ve been impressed with Cochran since the first time I watched him with Collins High School as a rising Junior. Continuing to develop, Cochran has the positional size, perimeter ability and athleticism to play at the Division I level. After being injured and missing the grassroots season, Cochran has had Division I programs like Marshall, Southern Illinois and Ut Martin in to check him out this fall. Those programs and more will continue to monitor how he looks coming back from injury early in the season.

Isaiah suffered a gnarly ankle injury in early May and has been on the shelf since. Cochran is a big wing with good positional size. He should be back in time for the high school season and will have Adair County looking to repeat in 2025.

Cochran is a multi level scorer who averaged 16.5 points and 8.8 rebounds with an efficient shooting split of 55/37/74. Holding multiple D1 offers heading into the AAU season, Isaiah has the potential to raise his stock even more.

A mismatch in the paint against small town teams, Cochran has been a man on a mission these playoffs putting up big time numbers to lead his team to the Elite 8. In the first quarter Cochran hit a trail 3-pointer to give his team an early edge but from the rest of the night he was in attack mode getting downhill. With his ball handling, size and strength, Cochran was tough to stop as a driver or when he got on the block and went to work. Tough to speed Cochran up when he has the ball, outside of one time when he lost it going left, I thought he did an excellent job of beating double teams and playing under control. When Marshall County was trying to use a full court press to get back into the game, Cochran made the right passes across the court to open teammates. I continue to be impressed with Adair County and wouldn’t count them out on Friday.

Cochran is one of the more complete offensive players in the class and is a true three level scorer that can get a bucket from all over the court. Isaiah is a D1 talent that holds several offers already and could be primed for a big time breakout in 2024.

Now at Adair County after spending 2 years at Collins, Cochran is a mismatch for opponents thanks to his ability to shoot from distance as well as an advanced skill set in the post.
