One of the better “sleeper” players in the class, Landon has the ability to score the ball all over the floor and has shown himself to be capable of even playing on the wing at times. A good rebounder who also offers some rim protection, Blakey should be a steal for someone at the next level.

Early in the game, Blakey was making a big impact against the zone defense by making smart cuts and playing along the baseline behind where the defense was positioned to score in the paint. Making some growth as a ball handler as well, Blakey was starting to handle the basketball a little more than I’ve previously seen from him. Blakey is one of the more productive forwards in region five and his team will need him to play at a high level if Adair County wants to return to Rupp this March.

One of the more versatile players in the class, Blakey has been a double double every night out for the Indians. He’s shooting 64% from the field despite some rough shooting numbers from three and at the free throw line. Landon plays a lot at the 5 spot for Adair but can be a face up 4 in college. He’ll be a big time steal for a program that needs a versatile 4/3 who can play and guard multiple positions.

Landon is a mismatch problem for any opposing coach who is trying to stop the reigning 2 time regional champs. Blakey can score the ball inside and out and is a tough cover for anyone. Not afraid to post up, Blakey is a true three level scorer and a top available player in the class.

The biggest name to transfer so far this spring, Landon just went from LaRue and enrolled at Adair County. Blakey is a versatile player who can score the ball on the low block or knock down an open three. He’s capable of protecting the rim on defense and can switch across multiple positions. It’s hard to believe there aren’t more scholarship level schools wearing out Blakey’s phone.

Landon has a very solid all around game. He can play above the rim or step out and shoot it. Over the past couple of years, Blakey’s wing skills and shooting have improved to make him a legitimate 3 man or stretch 4 at the next level. Definitely one of the true sleepers in this 2026 class, Landon could play at the low D1 level, in my opinion.

I was impressed with the defensive unity that Midwest Cincy MHC plays with. With a couple tough guards who pressure the ball and a few bigs with length and switch ability like Blakey, they are a tough group to score on in the half court. I was impressed with Blakey’s versatility on the defensive end of the court, walling up players at the rim and switching onto guards and holding his own on the perimeter. As a scorer, Blakey had a lefty finish, a push shot off one dribble and a time and space 3-pointer in the game I caught. I even liked that Blakey grabbed a defensive rebound and immediately looked to push the pace to help advance the basketball before finding a guard. With the wide range of skills Blakey shows for his size and his incredible production during the high school season, I expect scholarship programs to be interested in Blakey this season.

Blakey is an agile forward who is comfortable playing inside or out on the offensive end and is a capable shot blocker on defense. Landon has a lot of potential as a stretch 4 or a big wing and could earn multiple offers when he’s in front of coaches this AAU season.

Landon is more of a stretch 4 than a post player but he can do a little of both. His best basketball is all ahead of him and I think Blakey will be a better college player than he is a high school player.
