The Friday Combo. Richfield and Holy Angels tip off in their "down the road" rivalry at 5:30. You can go there, and then scoot just north to Minneapolis and catch Cristo Rey Jesuit hosting St. Croix Prep. AHA is 3-5 while Richfield is 4-7 so both teams need a win. Aaron Boarman and [player_tooltip player_id='962267' first='Joe' last='Miller'] have made for a nice front line for the Stars as they combine for 30 plus points and 17 rebounds a game. Sophomore CJ Armstrong is having a great year for Richfield scoring nearly 21 points a game!

The Cristo Rey/St. Croix Prep game is a three win team versus a two win team so both need a win as well. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1288751' first='Patrick' last='Akoussan'] leads the Pumas with his 15 points a contest. St. Croix is part balanced, but part lacking a consistent ability to finish. Cade Hanson leads them at nine points a contest.

Friday's Best. That is clearly 3rd ranked Hopkins versus 4th ranked Eden Prairie. And there is a lot of youth on the floor in this one! Here are your line-ups!

One. [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1574221' first='Max' last='Lorenson']. The leading scorers for each team, both are top plamakers despite being young.

Two. [player_tooltip player_id='1574212' first='Anthony' last='Smith III'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1288770' first='JJ' last='Sullivan']. Two of the better sophomores, both are capable of big games.

Three. Jacob Rothman vs Luke Rapp. Rapp has had a great senior season, Rothman will shoot it.

Four. [player_tooltip player_id='1595734' first='JJ' last='Semanko'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1560778' first='Nolen' last='Anderson']. Semanko scores ten a game, Nolen is a top freshman.

Five. [player_tooltip player_id='1345987' first='Vincent' last='Hillesheim'] vs Quincy Oriwa. 6'5 posts. Oriwa will work, Big Vince scores 15 a game.

Bang for the Buck Outstate. The Crossover Classic.

If you are in the Moorhead/Fargo area, or that extended area, or in Perham, get over to the Crossover Classic. This is a really good event this year highlighted by a huge Class A game matching number one Cass Lake-Bena against 7th ranked Henning. There is another excellent Class A game with Nevis facing Fosston and these are top ten caliber teams. Host Perham is pushing for top five in Class AA and they take on Fergus Falls, and for the big school fans there's a match-up of Duluth East and Moorhead, both teams that could make a run for state. Throwing Pelican Rapids vs Oak Grove from North Dakota and defending champ Annandale against Hawley and it's a full day in a great venue. This is tomorrow.

Bang for the Buck Metro. The Hall of Fame Classic.

As for the metro, the Hall of Fame Classic at Anoka-Ramsey on Saturday has only three games but what a great three games it has! Fourth ranked Eden Prairie has to rebound from their Hopkins match-up the night before and then take on Lakeville North! That's the second and third ranked teams in state in back to back days. [player_tooltip player_id='1284147' first='Jack' last='Robison'] has been hurt for the Panthers but [player_tooltip player_id='962214' first='Nolan' last='Winter'] is healthy and playing at a Mr. Basketball level. [player_tooltip player_id='1269166' first='Matt' last='Drake'] versus [player_tooltip player_id='1574221' first='Max' last='Lorenson'] surely has interest too.

Looking for a prospect on the rise? Go watch [player_tooltip player_id='1288822' first='Ater' last='Manyuon'] of Austin! He is 6'4, long, skilled and explosive. Ater leads the Packers against UND signed [player_tooltip player_id='962233' first='Matthew' last='Bothun'] and St. Francis at 6pm. The event opens with Hopkins vs Andover at 4pm which is another top ten Class AAAA match-up.
