Nolan Winter Nolan Winter 7'0" | PF Lakeville North | 2023 State #98 Nation MN took full advantage of his height advantage on Tuesday, finishing with a dominating 25 points and 17 rebounds before taking an early seat. He didn’t really have to leave the paint much as he was getting touch after touch right around the basket. Nolan isn’t a 240+ pound big who’s just going to bully defenders, but he does such a good job of creating a seal and providing an angle for his guards to lob it into him allowing for a quick catch and finish. Also showed quick reflexes and hustle to pull in offensive boards and go right back up with them. Winter has the skill to play/shoot out on the perimeter, but when he’s able to dominate in the paint like he did yesterday, he always takes the more efficient option.

Owatonna had no answer for Nolan Winter Nolan Winter 7'0" | PF Lakeville North | 2023 State #98 Nation MN inside. Even with their tallest player on him, Nolan towered over him and was a force around the basket. Winter was working hard to establish deep post position, but was also winning the rebounding battle leading to a bunch of putback buckets. Winter showed soft touch around the basket, but wasn’t afraid to go through some contact either. Made a couple of quick cuts off the ball leading to easy dunks as well. Winter has the skillset to handle the ball as well as pop out and knock down threes, but when he’s able to dominate inside like he did Saturday, he isn’t afraid to keep things simple. Finished with 31 points in another dominant win.
