Phillips has had a bit of an up-and-down year for the Lancers, but he played really well in their substate semifinal win over Linn-Mar, scoring 16 points on 7-12 shooting (0-1 3P, 2-5 FT), 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. A long, athletic point-forward who handles it and sees the floor at a high level, he can create plays off the bounce for his teammates and has the size to see over the defense. He can defend multiple positions, competes on the glass on both ends of the floor, and is a really good finisher around the rim.
